Dr. Michael Gilbert, MD

The first visit went well, he listened to my concerns and we developed a plan for further testing. However, once the first test came back inconclusive, it all went downhill from there. It took months just to get more testing on the books. When the tests came back with a diagnosis of two separate conditions the only communication I received was a brief portal message indicating results were positive and a call with a receptionist. I received no follow up information from Dr Gilbert, not even to explain what is was I was diagnosed with and treatment options. I had to call and make an appointment just to get answers. Communication is severely lacking.

I had a procedure done by Dr. Gilbert recently and cannot say enough good things about him and his team at Monadnock Community Hospital. He is very friendly and explained everything thoroughly, which made me feel more at ease prior to the procedure. His bedside manners were excellent and he was very knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend him to my friends, family, and anyone needing a gastroenterology physician. Thank you, Dr. Gilbert!

Dr. Gilbert provides excellent care. He is a good listener and is willing to explore non- traditional treatment options. He provides medical information in manner that is easy to understand. Always put on hold immediately when I call. I often feel more like a number than a person. First name is tertiary information - date of birth followed by last name are how you are identified. Difficult to coordinate care with PCP. Follow-up appointments can take months to get scheduled.
