I believe we're still in the discovery phase as there are a few things causing me extreme pain.It is refreshing to be believed I and know that it is because they are thorough in regards to looking at MRI.

Age discrimination is wrong!
It is a shame that’s such a brilliant. Dr has turned into someone who is only interested in operating on people until they’re 65. Even if you were a patient before he refuses to see you. Yet someday he will get old himself, and hopefully he will receive the same treatment he has given out to others. Age Discrimination is discrimination and he should not participate in it.

Dr. Banffy spent time discussing my injury and explaining in detail his diagnosis. He has a way of making a patient feel comfortable with his caring and professional demeanor.

Age discrimination
I was unable to make an appointment with Dr. Banffy because I was told that he does not treat patients who are more than 65 years of age. I do not use Medicare because I have good private health insurance. I think that he is a young man. I wonder if, when he is 66, he will still feel that older people do not deserve to be fixed when injured.

Very positive experience and successful surgery.
I was really happy with my overall experience with Dr Banffy. From the preop visits up to my postop appointments, everything went smoothly to address my labral tear and Cam impingement. I was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the reviews, but my experience was positive. I was able to return to running after five months and by 11 months I was able to sit for prolonged time without any pain (which was my initial difficulty). I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr Banffy.

Dr. Banffy seemed overall knowledgeable but rushed through the appointment. The medical record indicated both knees, hips, and distal pulses were evaluated but only my right knee was examined. He kept trying to get up to leave in the middle of questions. I appreciate appointment times are short, but sometimes more complicated cases need more time.

Dr Banffy said he did not any issues on the MRI despite my pain and concern. He told me I could get medication from Canada??? And he could inject it or use my own blood or go in for a scope. I get that he was behind but these seems like dismissive options for the Dr that already performed a surgery on the knee. Seems like he would be more invested in his work and patience.

Very nice person but the doctor was quick to misdiagnose me with bursitis after a fast look at the MRI scan. When I asked if he'd seen the report from the MRI people that stated I had a tendon dislocation and a tear In my gluteus minimus, he slowed down and really looked at MRI and read the Radiologist's report. He then said that he believed the pain I had was coming from my back, where I have several compressed disks, and he thought once I got that fixed the pain would go away. He started to hop up to move on to his next patient, and I stopped him and asked but what if it doesn't, what would he recommend. He laughed and said that he could do the repair on my hip but It was a long process that he didn't think I'd want to go through. I told him as I am in constant discomfort from it, can't lay on either side, must sleep with an Ice pack many days so I get little sleep. Can't go on walks with my husband like we used to and go up stairs or bend easily, or go to the gym so I very ...

The care has been mostly fine, but it is hit or miss. I was glad to see the PA because they have the time to listen. Banffy is a great surgeon but obviously has more important things to do than see patients in the office. I prefer to see the PAs because they take the time to listen & explain. However, reading the post-visit notes....it seems that the details are not all correct and reveal a need for more time/care to be taken in documenting the encounter. I find it somewhat sloppy notetaking.

My visit with Dr. Banffy gave me the push I needed to seek out second and third opinions for my incidental finding on my MRI. I have since found the correct course of action for that, giving me piece of mind.

I did not feel like the Dr was all that concerned with my pain and discomfort. He did not have any suggestions for how to minimize my pain while driving or working. I waited for over 20 minutes for him and there was no effort to inform me of wait time. Because the computer was not working I did not get to see my X-rays and the dr made no effort to try a different option so I could be more informed about my care. I was underwhelmed by experience. The nurse and dr's assistant were both warmer and seemed to care a bit more.

Too little time with doctor. No time to process treatment options. I had more questions like "what do we know about injections, how long they last, what % to full recovery can I expect?" I am once again left to try and learn from the internet
