I am deeply disappointed by the experience I had with Dr. Purab Viswanath. My encounter with him left me feeling utterly disrespected and disregarded as a patient and a concerned parent. Firstly, Dr. Viswanath displayed a shocking lack of bedside manners. He was arrogant, rude, and showed absolutely no empathy towards my concerns. It was evident that he viewed himself as superior and treated me with disdain throughout the entire appointment. What struck me the most was his disdain for questions. As a parent worried about my child's health, I naturally had several questions regarding the treatment options and MRI results. However, Dr. Viswanath seemed irritated by my inquiries and brushed them off with condescension. It was as if he believed my concerns were beneath him. To add insult to injury, Dr. Viswanath had the audacity to walk out of the room while I was still speaking. His blatant disregard for my thoughts and feelings was appalling and left me feeling utterly belittled. What's even more concerning is that my own 15-year-old son felt compelled to apologize for Dr. Viswanath's behavior towards me. It's truly disheartening when a medical professional's behavior is so egregious that even those around them feel the need to apologize on their behalf. In conclusion, I would strongly advise anyone considering seeking treatment from Dr. Purab Viswanath to think twice. His lack of professionalism, empathy, and basic respect for his patients make him wholly unfit to practice medicine.

He did surgery on my R hand and it's now worse... I can't use my 2 fingers he worked on I'm in more pain and now can't put my hand flat down. Rude office staff can't get a call back or they just hang up on you. WORST DR. EVER

My wife just got back from an appointment with our son. She said that the Dr. would only ask our son the questions and as she would explain the situation to him, he wouldn't even look at her and ignore her. She then asked what the issue was and why it occurs and he said "I just told you and we will monitor it when it comes back." She then asks our son a question and the Dr. gets up and quickly says bye to leave after his 2-minute visit with them! Horrible Dr. and would not recommend. Very uncaring and rushes you out as soon as he can.

He was incredibly personable. He sincerely cares about his patients. The staff is very friendly, helpful and they follow up with you too. I was hurt by an incident that should not have happened. DrV and his assistant were compassionate and I was given the sad truth, broken ribs take nothing but TIME, unless they need surgery. Point is YOU won’t be disappointed.

Dr Viswanath is an excellent doctor. He is very knowledgeable and explains things well. I previously wrote a review without having all the facts and I was wrong. He did a wonderful job on my hand and I was able to have full use of it again. I would highly recommend him.

If there was anything LOWER than a 1 I would give that. I called about lab results 4 times before the office called back to say they didn't have all of the results....but that he would call back (OF COURSE HE DIDN'T) I finally had to go INTO THE OFFICE a week after the initial call...and they acted as if I was inconveniencing them since they had to "squeeze me in"....THEN he just read the lab results to me! I even said in my messages how concerned I was about the results and based on what I read he was probably just going to refer me to another specialist, but wanted to know what type....WORST DR. EVER!!!

This guy is arrogant, which means ego driven, hence lack of rational thought process. There are so many surgeons out there, and someone mentioned sense of humor are you kidding me. This guy has no people skills, probably did not teach that in medical school, and he did not bother learning it.

He may be a good surgeon, but he seems to recommend people that are almost unable to work to keep working and exacerbating the injury...I guess that way it means some doctor, somewhere, will make some cash. The good news is it only took him 3 minutes to determine that the excruciating pain is nothing to worry about! He is SO smart!

Dr. Viswanath came to me at a very difficult time. I was admitted to the hospital after a visit to the ER. Dr. V was extremely informative about the surgery I would need, he was patient with my questions and concerns, I was very impressed with his honesty about possible obstacles he might find during surgery. Surgery went well and he took responsibility in his level of care during my recovery. I truly felt he cared about helping me to heal. I felt like we were on the same team!

I'm so impressed with Dr Viswanath and his surgical skill. Due to my privacy I will not be discussing which procedure I had done, but suffice to say that Dr Viswanth took care of my problem and I haven't looked back. I have already referred him to my friends, family and colleagues (due to the nature of work I am in). Thank you Dr Viswanath!

One of the worst Doctors I've ever taken my child to see. My son had an injury that required surgery within 7 to 10 days. Dr. Viswanath requested an MRI (the following day), which is not generally required for this type of injury. He splinted my son's hand in a manner increasing stress on the injury. Then, after the MRI, he didn't bother to call back for a week. I would simply describe him as the kind of doctor you want to avoid.

I went to see Dr. V for my severe carpal tunnel surgery. I was immediately impressed by his professionalism, his expertise in his field, and his caring nature. I am very happy with the results, and will be going in for my other hand in the next few weeks. My postop care was exceptional, all the way from Dr V, to his staff and his MA's.

Dr. Viswanath is the best! After having hand issues for multiple years, with numerous consults with many physicians, he was the only physician that was able to accurately diagnose my condition. My surgery went extremely well. He is the most patient surgeon I have met, he has excellent bedside manner, and I would recommend him to everyone! GO SEE HIM!

He did emergency hand surgery following an animal bite, He was wonderful. Extremely caring, knowledgable about the potential complications and how to prevent them, Surgery was total success and his followup care has been just as successful. He also has a terrific bedside manner, unlike many other orthopedic surgeons. He also worked great with the infectious disease doctor, Highly recommend Dr. Viswanath!
