Awful! First appointment went fine. Sent me for an MRI and blood work. Results came back within the weeks. Both showed some pretty scary results. I have called this doctor FIVE TIMES. Only spoke to a nurse once and she said he would call me back. It’s been almost a month and NOTHING from him! I am now having to find another doctor to review my results and decide next steps. STAY AWAY!

I have the upmost confidence in Dr. Thoma. He is professional, knowledgeable, and has an excellent bedside manner. He truly cares for his patients and is a good man. I have recommended my family and friends to him and will continue to do so. You will not find a better Gastroenterologist in the midlands. You will be treated with respect and dignity. I thank God that there are still good, honest men who are willing to help people. If you are looking for a Gastroenterologist , look no further.

Great bedside manner. Explains things in real terms and asked frequently if I had any questions ... open dialog. Knowledgeable in his field and admits when he would rather refer out (my condition is not exactly within his expertise), but he tested, examined, diagnosed then office staff set up appointment with suggested specialist. Office staff was great too. They were detail oriented, professional and timely in all aspects of my visits.

I have been a patient of Dr. Thoma for the past two years. I have had several procedures and office visits to address my Crohn's disease. He is a tremendous and very involved physician. Although not all the news that I received from him was the news i was hoping to hear, he was prompt, honest, and always had the next step. I have always felt like a priority to him and his staff. Every patient is an individual, and he has truly custom tailored my tmt improving my life tremendously. Highly Rec.

I started having some GI issues and needed to consult a GI physician. My primary care physician referred me to Dr. Thoma. During my first office visit, the office staff that I made contact with were all exceptional, friendly, and nice. They all displayed genuine care and concern. When meeting with Dr. Thoma, he spent 45 minutes with me. He completed a thorough and indepth examination and spent time talking with me about my symptoms to diagnose me. I would recommend Dr. Thoma.

It's difficult to find a doctor that is a great physician and makes you feel comfortable and listened to. Dr. Thoma is that Doctor. He takes his time talking to his patients. I have never felt rushed or unheard. He worked hard to figure out what was going on with me and took care of me. I highly recommend Dr. Thoma!

Dr. Thoma was very patient with me and my mom during our appointment and answered all of our questions. He was very good at explaining her diagnosis and was able to put my mom at ease (which is not easy)! I would and have recommended Dr Thoma to anyone that is looking for a GI doctor. His concern and compassion is very refreshing in this get them in and get them out society. Thank you to him and his staff!

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Thoma?
Dr. Thoma has clearly lost his joy for his profession. After hearing my symptoms, Dr. Thoma did not try to explain why I would be experiencing XYZ symptoms (although he knew why after I pushed hard for answers). If Thoma had it his way, he would have just said, yeah, we'll do a colonoscopy and left the room. He wanted to rush out of the room so badly that I forget a few of my questions due to him constantly reaching for the door knob.
