Dr. Matthew Ohl, MD

Waiting room wait was short. Exam room wait was short. Dr visit rushed. While Dr Ohl has a nice personality. He was too rushed. Didn't give me time to speak, cut me off mid sentence. Didn't ask if I had questions. Have gone to him before a few years back and it was nothing like this visit. Quite disappointing.

We won't care if you are in a lot of after surgery pain, he won't give you any real pain killers because he thinks that everyone is a drug addict. He won't spend more than 10 minutes with you during appointments. I'm sorry I went with him. Avoid.

This is the second time I have used Dr. Ohl for a torn meniscus. I hope not to need him again, but If I need someone he’s who I will go to!

Dr. Ohl is very professional with his patients. He's also a very personable individual.

I just met Dr. Ohl for the first time on December 3, 2020 and he was professional and courteous in demeanor. He talked with me about my knee condition and explained the procedure in a manner I understood.

I saw Dr. Ohl after a fall. I had a bone bruise due to arthritis in the knee and the fall. He gave me a simple exercise for now and recommended continuing it with less frequency forever to prevent future falls. Dr. Ohl was very personable and was willing to have my wife participate by phone when Covid limited visitors. He was able to see me on the same day and the practice also has an orthopaedic urgent care for nights and weekends. We’ve always had positive experiences at OrthoCarolina.

He did not spend enough time with me. I had questions, he was like rushing . I pay a80 dollar co pay and he need to schedule in more time with his patients.

He was very confident and reassuring and provided me with a solution to my hip/leg pain.

Painfully strained ligament on outside of right knee. Dr. Ohl’s review of my x-rays showed that I have osteoarthritis and this condition contributed to my knee problem. I was pleased to finally have an explanation/diagnosis and prescribed treatment.

Dr. OHL was indigent I lose a certain amount of weight prior to my knee replacement being completed to further prevent infection. I am glad he was so persistent with me.

Dr. Ohl was very short with me during my visit. He did not allow me an opportunity to accurately describe the issues I was experiencing. I was abruptly shuffled over to get an X-ray and received a 1-minute consult as to what he thought the issue was with a prescription for 6-8 weeks of PT that was never forwarded over to my existing therapist as I was told it would be and that was that! This is not the experience I hoped to have after dealing with my issue for years now. My expectation was for a little more compassion, care and time which I don’t think is too much to ask!!
