Dr. Matej Polomsky, MD

Dr. Polomsky did a laser procedure to treat a large floater in my left eye. Soon after the procedure, I began experiencing flashes of light in my eye and started to see a field of small floaters from the large floater being broken up. I was told these smaller fragments would eventually float to the bottom of my field of vision, but that has yet to occur. Between the time of the procedure and the post-op visit, I went to his office twice for possible retinal emergencies. On both occasions, Dr. Polomsky was not available and I ended up seeing a staff optometrist to confirm my retina was OK. During the post-op visit in November, I explained the trouble I was happening and I basically got a shoulder shrug and told I should consider getting a vitrectomy and cataract surgery. I went from a simple laser procedure to being told I needed three major eye surgeries. I definitely do not recommend Dr. Polomsky. The level of post-op care he displayed was severely lacking.

Great person and doctor! It’s a pleasure to have him and his team to take care of my eyes . I had refractive lens surgery , went from Walmart readers to perfect vision! I work as a mechanic , glasses fell off , fogged up and couldn’t see wiring diagrams to enjoying life ! Ty

Dr P replaced my lenses a couple of years ago and I could not be more pleased with the result. As sometimes happens scare tissue has formed. He will be correcting this condition shortly with a laser procure. I trust his judgment and his care.

Dr Polomsky did a fantastic job on my cataracts and hydrus stent placement. The procedure was very easy and it felt like I had nothing done to my eyes. The vision and brightness are remarkable that I see now. I would highly recommend Dr Polomsky to anyone that is considering cataract surgery!

Dr. Polomsky and staff are well organized and knowledgeable. Although the office is always crowded I have never experienced an inordinately long wait to be seen. Dr. and staff are pleasant and take time to answer questions. My eye surgeries proceeded smoothly, without issues or delay. The Wilmington Eye Surgery Center is gleaming, efficiently run, and staffed by individuals with great “people skills”who know their jobs well.

The visit went very well and I went back home with good news about my eyes. I met Dr Polombsky in Wilmington instead of Southport because he moved his office there. He is good so I am following him.
