Dr. Mary Katherine Barfield, MD

Dr. Barfield has been treating me for over 6 years now. I began seeing her at her previous office near the hospital in Cartersville, and followed her practice to Harbin when she moved because I couldn't imagine seeing someone else. Dr. Barfield is the most compassionate doctor that I have ever worked with. She listens carefully, gives concrete and useful medical advice, and will go above and beyond to ensure that her patient feels that they are truly being taken care of, even if it means working you in at the last minute or giving you a phone call herself after her office's business hours. This year has been extremely tough for me medically, and Dr. Barfield has gone above and beyond to help me find answers and solutions for my problems. Some doctors can make you feel judged in regards to mental health issues, but Dr. Barfield has always made me feel seen and understood, never embarrassed or shamed. I would recommend her to all of my friends and family, even strangers!

Dr. Barfield is an outstanding doctor. Over the past few years she has helped me with her quality, caring ways. She is knowledgeable and resourceful in connecting me with specialists. I thank her for my life and health.

She has been our family doctor for many years.. she is thorough, knowledgeable and very compassionate. It’s hard to find doctors like her anymore. We have recently moved to the Chattanooga area but we are not changing doctors. We will travel to see her. She is a fabulous doctor and a special person.

Staff is courteous, and polite. Dr. Barfield is very thorough with me, and answers all questions to my satisfaction. I continue to travel from the Woodstock/Canton area because I have faith/trust in her care.

6 month follow up went smooth as always. My dad was hard to please and he loved her, too. Even have hubby seeing her now. We LOVE her !!!

Dr Barfield always makes time to hear and assess any new symptoms or concerns. She spends time listening and teaching about new conditions. Always leaving feeling well cared for.

Both my husband and I cannot say enough good things about Doctor Mary Katherine Barfield. She is proficient and straight forward, yet patient, warm and thoughtful. Her listening skills are absolutely wonderful .. she hears you and responds to your needs. Awesome lady. I do not consider her just my doctor but also my friend. She never rushes me and Jennifer and heather are always so very helpful. Those three make a great team.

Dr. Barfield is always patient and listens to what I have to say re: my health. I appreciate her taking extra time with me. She never rushes me or makes me feel like I am taking to much of her time.

If or when she retires I guess I want have another Dr! She is amazing The only Dr when I have an appointment I want miss! Make you feel like family and my family can’t believe I go to the Doctor! I still think wife don’t believe I go.

Dr. Barfield is the best doctor I have. She takes as much time as needed. She is well read and knows the most current research. She is compassionate and caring. I asked her to take my 94 year old mother on as a new patient because I didn’t think my mom’s doctor was doing enough for her or making the best decisions. My mother adores her and listens to everything Dr. Barfield tells her. She trusts her implicitly and so do I.

Dr. Barfield answered all my questions. Refilled some medications. She's always so caring and very attentive to my concerns/needs. She takes her time to listen. I feel so comfortable with her, I can tell her anything and not be embarrassed or feel like it doesn't matter. She loves and respects her patients. She's a godsend!

Several years ago my wife and I had a recommendation to request Dr. Barfield be our Personal Care Physician. So very happy to have found her! As with all of our meetings with Dr. Barfield, this last one was everything that a doctor/patient visit should be. It's an understatement to say that she listens. And, that she cares.
