Google Provides More Value
I used Dr Hutchens as my PCP for a few years, but always found him to be dismissive of my concerns. I stopped going after he told me the reason for my chronic knee pain (both knees) was because I was getting old. He didn’t run any tests, or ask more questions to help me figure it out. I found his answer unacceptable because I was 32 at the time and in decent shape. I ignored the pain and used urgent care until I found a new dr (an internal medicine dr) that listens and takes my concerns seriously.I suspected my pain could be tied to Psoriatic Arthritis after recent psoriasis flare ups. My new doc agreed and referred me to a dermatologist where I was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis and got prescribed a biologic. Psoriatic arthritis is a degenerative condition and I was without treatment for 4 years. Dr Hutchens was aware of my history with Psoriasis. But he didn’t consider any possibilities and quickly dismissed me. I got more value out of Google than Dr Hutchens.

This is the first time I’ve ever left a google review which is a big deal to me because I own a business and know how bias they can be. I’ve always passed on the opportunity to leave a review because I know many people view these comments as bias. What Dr. Hutchens and his nurse Andrea did on 9/25/19 were so unprofessional and downright dangerous that I felt I had to warn others. On 9/23 I called the office to get a refill on my medication. I was told no problem and that it would go through. I received a text from CVS that my prescription was denied by my Dr. Before I could I call I got an update saying it was filled. I flew back home on 9/24 and took my last pill, knowing I would re-fill that night. When I went to pick up my prescription I was handed the wrong one(which in itself is crazy) and was told my other medication hadn’t been called in. I began to worry because I was now out of the needed medication and knew If I didn’t get a refill I would be at risk of a seizure which t

Been a while since I've found a doctor that couldn't care less. Don't even think he listened as I explained the problems I have been dealing with. The whole encounter was awkward. Patient beware -- don't waste your time.
