Dr McDonald was perfect

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. McDonald...anyone who needs his services will no doubt experience the same. I tore my ACL skiing last February, had surgery in April after completing 6 weeks or so of pre-hab, and just had my final visit with Dr. McDonald this week. I never once felt rushed when meeting with him, his staff is friendly and thorough as well, and the PT clinic attached is awesome. I'm already back to skiing, golf, tennis, etc. And in looking at my knee you'd have no idea I had surgery (the scars are microscopic). Overall Dr McDonald is just a great guy who is great at his job.

The entire office was highly organized, punctual and professional. Great demeanor as well; very friendly and informative.

I had a hip arthroscopy revision 6 months ago and Dr McDonald was very honest in the risks and potential benefits, discussed multiple options with me (as difficult as it was with me tearing up at some of them), and in the end performed a surgery that got me back to walking and living my life. Kate is also great and truly cares about her patients. I am so appreciative of this team and lucky to have them in Austin!

Starting with first apptment I have been very impressed with Dr McDonald. Took time to explain my options and didn’t rush through visit. Surgery and recovery have been without complications and I credit this to his expertise in this type of surgery.

I have had issues with my leg tendons ripping off my bones. Dr. McDonald quickly assessed the situation and performed surgery that greatly improved my quality of life. He made sure my follow-up care was top-notch. His staff is kind and quick to respond to questions and concerns. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who suffers from hip or other bone problems. He didn't perform any surgery that wasn't needed as other physicians had suggested.

If you have or suspect you have hip problems, look no further than Dr. John McDonald! I cannot recommend him enough for hip diagnosis and arthroscopy. As a first time surgery patient I wasn't sure what to expect, but his care to detail and exceptional surgical skills have provided me with a best-case outcome. The entire process was smooth and he really cares about the rehabilitation journey afterwards.

Dr. MacDonald is an excellent listener and takes his time with me. I always leaving feeling like there is a plan in place to get me feeling better.

I have a hard time with walking and sitting in the car but I made the trip in to Austin to see Dr. Macdonald. There was a 1 and a half hour wait before I saw him and that was only for 5 minutes in which he told me to see a neurologist. The neurologist cleared me and said that I should see an orthopedist because I had 4 different physical problems on my mri (the same mri that dr. Macdonald had seen). I don't think he was paying attention at all.

I sustained a complex knee injury. Dr McDonald has been a super invested and great surgeon through it all. I really appreciate his great care. Thank you so much!!

Dr. McDonald is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in ACL injuries. He provided clear explanations and guidance throughout the process which helped alleviate my fears. Worth the wait to get on his calendar. Very glad I chose to have him handle my procedure.

Dr. McDonald took the time to explain exactly what was causing my daughters pain, including drawing a picture for her to visualize the abnormality. He answered all of our questions and recommended the least invasive method of treatment. We highly recommend him!

I dislike going to see a Dr. But if I had to see one it would be Dr. McDonald. He and his staff are friendly, very knowledgeable and patient. They will take as much time as needed to answer ur questions and explain things so you understand. Great service.
