Does not communicate next steps for diagnosis and treatment well. This makes 2 events that in my opinion warranted urgent communication (regarding abnormal labs) and didn’t happen. My child deserves better care. Dr. Barret is very smart, and has great rapport with children. But you must draw out information from him. He does not explain his rationale, and will overlook abnormal labs that require immediate attention. If you choose to see him, stay on your toes and demand answers immediately if you do not get them. Don’t wait, it’s not a patience with the process thing. It’s a communication problem.

Most disrespectful doctor I have ever met. I seriously couldn’t believe the way he spoke to me and the things he said to me as a new mom (of human in general). I hope I can save even just one person from going to him, but if you do go to him, make sure you do not question a single thing because he will act like you are an absolute idiot and blow up at you for literally no reason.

Completely awful for a pediatrician. He started off my son's 2 year apt by calling him a brat (several times throughout the apt),suggested that my husband and I ignore him if he wakes up at night, even if sick, that we use paint sticks and rulers to disiplin our son, and more. He barley even looked at him during the check up, let alone actually examine him. Should have his licensed revoked.

I used him for my oldest, and thought it would be a good idea to take my youngest to him as well. I was very young with my oldest, and assumed dr's just know all. Boy, was I wrong. He's been around a long time, but is so clueless on the basic care of children. He suggested my 4 month old was spoiled and needed to cry it out which is abuse in my eyes. Science proves it's unhealthy. He promoted solids at 4 months, which isn't safe or healthy!! He doesn't understand intact care or vaccines.

Dr. Barret is smart and pleasant but incredibly inattentive. He is overeager to diagnose the symptoms and not look deeper for the problem and his main goal seems to be to get out of the room as fast as possible. He has made no effort to be friendly with us or pay any attention whatsoever to our newborn. He has misdiagnosed and given us bad advice at least twice in only a few months.
