Very DEFENSIVE… said everything was “my fault”
I had a double mastectomy with reconstruction in 2022. I had problems almost immediately, although I dutifully waited a year to meet with Dr Holton, as he requested (he said “I can fix anything). I was deformed (e.g., horrible rippling, encapsulation, and complete lack of symmetry). When Dr Holton saw me a year after his reconstruction, he told me “you have the wrong implants; but it’s YOUR fault because you lost weight.” Also, whenever I complained to his staff throughout that first year, they said nothing - only showed me a photo of my original diseased breasts (like that was the gold standard). I found a REAL surgeon, the director of plastics at Mercy, Baltimore. He did a gorgeous job; plus his after-care regimen will help me avoid recurrence of deformation. In the midst of having cancer, you must do your research! Else you’ll be like me, requiring another complete reconstruction one year after the original. NOTE: thin women need special, thicker skin implants.

He abruptly left
Initially I liked him and my results after a double mastectomy with immediate implants. I had complications and am not certain things were handled correctly after the first complication. Dr.Holton abruptly left the practice without warning, leaving me mid-process without a surgeon.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to get a double mastectomy with reconstruction . I was scared and didn’t know what to expect but Dr.Holton and  his PA Ginny  made me feel at ease. He was professional, personable , and a charmer. He was very thorough and explain the whole procedure and did not make me feel rush when asking questions. His staff Is extremely friendly and professional.

First he is now at Anne Arundel Medical Center. I meant him yesterday for a consultation for a tummy tuck in combination with a general surgery on my abdomen I have to have. He was very friendly open and very personable. His appears very concerned about my overall happiness with his care of me.
