Dr. Lucia Gaitan, MD

a few years ago, I was trying to get a diagnosis for what i believe to be PCOS, which i understand to be relatively hard to diagnose, Dr Gaitan kept reiterating how my weight, diet, and excessive facial hair (???) was all an issue, it really is not and i’m very active. in my opinion, she continued pushing expensive contraceptives that i had mentioned several times that i am absolutely not interested in, was not there for birth control and did not want birth control. I chose to not go back and have had difficulties gaining the confidence to make an appointment at a new doctor for a few years now.

A Dr to whom you can talk to and listen carefully to every doubt, understanding and caring, professional yet human and she also speaks Spanish, the best!

Very knowledgeable. Spent time with the patient. The only downside was a 30 minute wait before we got inside. But I will definitely stay with us Dr

Dr, Gaitan should not have a medical license if she’s going to profile patients and use prejudice against us.She treated me so wrongfully and with no empathy or kindness like I wasn’t important based on her views on me and what I did to be able to eat and drink water in the beginning of my pregnancy.Because I used cannabis,and I even told her I was going to stop at 3 months but instead of trying to help me she got me out of the clinic and sent me to UM so she didn’t have to deal with me.

She does not listen to patients and puts them at risk. She has a diagnosis before any proper evaluation. There are better doctors out there, she is not worth the risk to you and your newborn.

I'm a new patient to Dr. Lucia. She is one of the few OBs I found that is familiar with PCOS. After researching her practice I was concerned with some of the reviews I found about the level of service from the staff. I'm very happy that this was not my experience. The staff was friendly from the moment I arrived. Dr. Lucia also took her time and held a Consult with me in her office before the exam. This made me feel acknowledged and she took the time to answer all my questions.

Dr. Gaitan is an amazing doctor. She is a great listener, is very compassionate, caring, and is very knowledgeable.

I've been going to this office and seeing Dr. Gaitan since I was in college. She is amazing!...listens well, caring, and gives great recommendations and options for health care. I am moving away and I am going to miss her (might have to fly to Miami for my visits).

This was the first office visit. Dr. Gaitan was amazing. Very knowledgeable. Explains everything in an understandable way. She is very direct and to the point. Her goal is to thoroughly address all of the issues at hand. At no time did I feel I was being hurried. She is also very pleasant.

Dr. Gaitan is the only OBGYN I would recommend to friend emphatically! Incredibly knowledgeable, willing to work with the patient on their needs, and incredibly caring of your health overall, she is the only Doc I've stuck with over the years and continue to see her when I'm in town even though I've moved to another state.
