I recommend Dr. Louis Catalano extremely highly. I went to him with an extremely painful "trigger thumb" that had been bothering me for years. I thought it was chronic and incurable except possibly by surgery. Dr. Catalano examined me and within just a couple of minutes told me "I have good news. You DON'T need surgery. I can help you with both the pain and the trigger finger with just an injection." Sure enough, one injection was all it took. I felt better by the next day, the triggering has not reoccurred months later, and the pain is completely gone. I am very appreciative of Dr. Catalano's talent, and my visit with him was very positive in all ways, including his very helpful staff.

I had an incredible experience with Dr. Catalano! I had been having issues with De Quervain's on and off and was seeing an orthopedist. I woke up one day and my hand was spasming out of control. Dr. Catalano saw me on his day off and was attentive and caring. He made me feel completely at ease with the fact that I needed surgery ASAP to fix my issues. Going in for surgery during a pandemic was very scary, but Dr. Catalano kept me chatting and laughing throughout the whole thing. After the surgery was over, he followed up with me every 2-3 days without prompting to make sure I was okay and would answer my questions after hours or on weekends. I would highly, highly recommend Dr. Catalano!

Recently i had a deep cut in my hand - at the ER, the attending physician was unsure if had tendon damage and recommended we consult with a hand surgeon before proceeding. I called Dr Catalano on his cell and he talked the ER staff through the steps to take to ensure the tendon was not damaged.....whilst he was on vacation! Subsequently he performed my follow up care and arranged to see me at short notice during lunch time and after work. Great patient care and wonderful bedside manner - THANKS.

One of my favorite doctors--HANDS down. I have had several surgeries and treatments with Dr. Catalano and he is a superb surgeon and human being. Very caring and thoughtful and really makes sure all your questions are answered about the options you have. I always enjoy going to see him because he's such a pleasant presence. Highly recommended.

He's all about surgery. I saw Dr. Catalano for a minor hand fracture. The experience was rushed, and informal. He did not do a good job of explaining my injury and options. He pushed surgery without even explaining a non-surgical option. He was dishonest in his report stating that I wished to proceed with surgery. Seeing Dr. Catalano delayed me in getting proper attention for my injury. I thankfully saw another surgeon who was honest and am now in-process with non-surgical healing.
