Dr. Lori Claypool, DO

On my first visit with the doctor I clarified that I would like to have the IUD inserted, it was a very quick visit. On the second visit I thought the necessary tests would be done before the IUD was inserted. Without much explanation, she performed the injection and removal of the product very quickly, causing pain, and without much explanation as to why my body was not compatible. She left the room very quickly and left me without explanation and feeling very uncomfortable.

The two times i saw this person she never spent more then 5 minutes with me, she had another person in the room with her and was more interested in talking to them then to the patient. She did no tests and i am menopausal. She did not ask any questions the first visit and rushed out. She was in there less then 5 minutes for my second visit and she again had someone in the room with her. When trying to get refills for my hormones she has not responded to faxes from pharmacy or from doctors office and i have left several messages myself. She is unprofessional and would never recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Claypool is rushed and unprofessional. No regard for patient concerns. She looked at me and decided she wasn’t going to look any further into my health, and there couldn’t possibly be any cause for issue other than my weight. No physical exam or anything. She wrote all her notes on a paper towel, and was very short with me. This was my first appointment and I’ll never return for another, nor would I recommend her to anyone.

Always tried to get out of the room with me as soon as she could, never told me anything or explained anything, didn't monitor an infection that she treated me for and made me very uncomfortable with some of her comments. Her nurses were more informative than her. Makes too much money to be down to earth human I guess. Do yourself a favor and enjoy your pregnancy checkups and choose another OB.

I always recommend Dr. Claypool,very compassionate and makes you feel comfortable but doesn’t sugar coat things. I love the receptionists , especially Tori(?) and nurses who are very helpful in answering questions without making you feel embarrassed for asking.
