Dr. Liselle Douyon, MD

Waited 4 months for appt., - Emailed Dr regarding any experience with the condition diagnosed with, received reply of YES. Dr. did not have ANY experience with the condition, was surprised of Email stating she was. Suggested a possible medication - would not prescribe, was told to go to primary Dr. No reccomendations or suggestions - back to square one. This was a TOTAL waste of time !

the most careless doctor I have ever seen. could not be bothered to message back on the portal although nurses pushed it through as urgent twice. had to go get the tests needed, elsewhere. she makes comments on patients weight without trying to help, although as an endocrinologist you are dealing with people with hormone and metabolic issues? She could not be bothered to submit the tests for a surgery that would help with my weight, and is just rude and careless overall. if you value yourself, you won’t see this doctor. she should not be working in the medical field.

My experience has been that the doctor is friendly and respectful. However, she does not respond to follow-up questions. I take medication for my endocrinology condition but have to ask my GP to prescribe it because Dr. Douyon refuses to. Seeing her was useless because of that.

I was 10 minutes late to my appointment because I could not find the entrance to Lobby C. I was referred to Endocrinology by my U of M neurosurgeon. I’m 32, 5 months postpartum with my third child, 2 months post brain surgery for a tumor removal, and in the midst of radiation. I cannot drive and live a hour from the office. I was only late because I was lost within the facility and this doctor refused to see me. I was sobbing in the office, explaining why I was late and how difficult it is for me to get there giving my current situation and how important this appointment was for me. I begged for the doctor to see me. Two staff members spoke to the doctor and still wouldn’t see me. It’s very sad to see how someone who is suppose to help you could be so cold and careless to a person. I’ll never see her and will have to wait months to see another specialist at U of M. If you go to her just make sure you’re on time bc you’re not worth her time otherwise.

Doctor Douyon has been my MD specialist for three years. During this time, I have been very satisfied with every visit. She keeps herself up to date with the latest treatments. She has a friendly and sincere personality. She gives me 100% of her attention during my visits. And I always feel welcome to stay as long as I have a need to. In this rush-rush-world, it is nice to experience her stress-free and sincere interest in my medical needs.
