I saw dr murphy one time during my pregnancy & then she admitted me when I went into labor. I trusted her medical advice but her bedside manner could definitely use some improvement. I went in to be seen with contractions every 3 minutes & was greeted with her saying "There's no way you're in labor with that smile on your face"& then tried to send me home...I had my daughter shortly after her shift ended. Normally I could deal with her sense of humor/sass but while knee deep in hyperemisis & then again while in labor, it didn't feel appropriate. After sharing my experience with a few others (including the nurses), they said it was a common experience & that "she's just fresh".

Super friendly and nice, and solved my issue the first time I had it. However, after the same solution didn't work for a recurrence of the same issue (which I've had for @5 months now), she had no other suggestions to give or things to try, other than telling me "your body hates you." I also got no help with perimenopause--she said hormone tests don't work because hormones fluctuate too much. If this is the case, why do people get hormone tests all the time? I did find out that apparently OB-GYNs don't address hormonal issues, so this is probably not just her. But no suggestion of an endocrinologist or anything (which I found out through my own research is who I should see). Just, again, a "that sucks, but there's nothing to be done" approach.

I am a 71 year old woman...Dr. Murphy is amazing...I had a full laparoscopic Hysterectomy...I only stayed in the hospital one night....I had no pain...I did not take a single pain pill....I feel amazing...Dr Murphy is amazing..Her office staff is also amazing...
