Dr. Lisa Sajovitz, MD

After examining me at 9:30 AM, Doctor Sajovitz said she would walk to the nurses station & do the paperwork to discharge me. We sat in the room until noon, when I asked what was going on and the nurse said Doctor Sajovitz wanted a chest x-ray. Neither the doctor nor the nurse had said anything to me about a chest x-ray. I had a chest x-ray two days earlier at St. Vincent. My wife and I waited in the room from 12:30, periodically checking if the x-rays had been read and doctor notified of the results. It took 2 hours to determine that there was nothing to worry about in my chest. I waited another hour and asked the nurse what the status was. She said Doctor Sajowitz was on her way upstairs to give us a prescription and discharge. What she meant was "on her way HOME." About 4:30 another doctor went to the nurse's station and told the nurse to call our doctor. At 5:25 the nurse reappeared with the discharge paperwork. We had questions but no doctor to answer them.

She kept me informed of my situation. She was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and supportive. I could not have asked for better care than I received under her supervision.
