Dr. Kates Review
Staff were great & office was clean. I have skin lupus & been on same medicine since original diagnosis 2015 fm a well-respected dr in area who retired. I met w/Dr. Kate's PA Nov 2021. He review my past records & current skin situation then refilled my prescription. Sadly, he left her practice. Since PA left her practice, I had to set up an appt (only 3mths later) to receive a refill; which I did. I took her earliest available appt which left me 11 days without my medicine. I called her medical asst & let them know the situation. They asked Dr. Kates & she would not refill till I saw her. But she had no earlier appt. Without my meds, I break out with dime size itchy bumps all over my skin. Dr Kate's didn't call to discuss my days w/out my medicine. I called my family doctor who sent in a 1 mth (since derm dr take care of this med). Dr Kate's lacks concern & empathy. I've never been treated like this before. When I told her what happen, she got defensive. I won't be back.

Fantastic Doctor
I had a visit with Dr. Kate’s years ago while she was located in Annapolis. I was looking at her profile to send to a friend. After reading her reviews I felt compelled to leave my thoughts. She is prompt, professional and I felt extremely comfortable with her. Very knowledgeable and took the time to explain and discuss my every concern. I will travel outside of Annapolis to see such a great doc.

Made appt for my daughter. She was seen by the PA, not the doc. I had insurance plus paid 150$ for them to tell her to wash with 2 store products. Her followup was scheduled the first day of school so I called to cancel it. Person said ok. No mention of a canx fee because I only called 24 hours in advance. I got a confirmation email later in the day so I called again to verify it was cancelled. So yes it was cancelled, for a 50$ fee, but I had to ask if there was a fee because she made a comment that we were considered a no-show. Otherwise they were just going to charge my card without telling me. I get they are a business, but i don't feel like my daughter got anything out of it. For her to say she wasn't interested in going back, that's pretty big. Do i want to reschedule? No thanks..

Our 12 yr old son has been to several dermatologists in the last 5 yrs and Dr. Brown by far has to be the most professional, understanding and very dedicated with our sons problems. Extremely pleased to have finally found someone that wants to help our son and not put him through pain! Thank you is not enough to say

Saw Dr. Kates to discuss hyperpigmentation and fine line issues on my face. Waited 45 minutes for a less than 5 minute consult. I explained to her what I was there for; she never examined my face. I mentioned the IPL treatment option and she didn't provide me with any suggestions or options. She left the exam room, said her billing person would be in to discuss costs, and after I make arrangements to pay, she would discuss the procedure. I left, and now I received a $100 consult fee. JOKE!
