She’s excellent!
Very personable, great bedside manner. Very thorough in explaining what is going on in regard to my pelvic issues, explained the surgery process, what to expect after surgery. I had to have a sacrocolpopexy surgery and was very nervous but I knew I had to have something done to help with my pelvic issues. Her staff were very helpful. Surgery went well. Post surgery healing went well. I have been very pleased with my interactions with Dr. Lisa Jaacks.

Almost 10 Years Ago - and I’m still angry.
Dr. Jaacks was my OGBYN in Glendale many years ago. My experience with her in the prenatal period was awful. She didn’t respect my autonomy AT ALL. She threatened to discharge me from the practice because I didn’t want a glucose tolerance test (not my first baby, not overweight, not high risk in any way) which would have left me without an OB since no OBs accept patients past 20 weeks. She didn’t take me seriously when I said I had severe pelvic pain. Things didn’t get better at delivery, either. She didn’t take me seriously when I told her my epidural didn’t work, resulting in me needing emergency general anesthesia mid C section. I still think about my horrific experience with her regularly, especially when I encounter the topic of women’s rights and bodily autonomy. Physicians like her are why the maternal morbidity and mortality rate are so high in this country. I am okay because I didn’t have a life threatening issue… But what if I did and she dismissed that, too?

Had my first consult
I had my consult with Dr Jaacks and I was thoroughly impressed! I’m a very difficult patient as I’ve had numerous surgeries and cancer, I’ve got scar tissue etc to be concerned with. I came to her as she was highly recommended for her ability to do reconstructive surgeries on pelvic , bladder etc as well as an OB/GYN dr. My case is complicated due to having a hysterectomy years ago and lack of Estrogen and now turning 60! Because of previous breast cancer I could not take estrogen. I’ve been going through chronic bladder infections and now a prolapsed bladder so she talked at length with me going over all details of a plan for me! I feel very confident in her ability to help me and she put me at ease going forward with surgery and prescribed the lowest dose of topical and lotion estrogen replacements so I will get benefit from them to strengthen my internal tissues and skin and overall estrogen loss issues!

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I had my first visit with Dr. Jaacks. She's rude, unprofessional, aggressive, has no bedside manner and needs sensitivity training. She was asking me questions about my miscarriage and then cut me off while answering and said what I had told her about what happened couldn't be true, basically calling me a liar. She only has 11 years experience and is NOT a high risk dr. My last OB who tested my placenta after the last miscarriage had 40+ years exp and was a high risk dr but sh
