Any time I’ve gone into Dr. Call’s office with a specific problem she’s never meaningfully solved it; I tell her my problem and she just says a series of words that don’t mean anything and I leave with the same circumstances. In my last appointment when I was expressing my frustration with my issue not being solved in a general sense, not directing it at her, she said that she cared, but with a facial expression and vocal intonation clearly indicating that she didn’t care, which I take to mean that she thinks I’m stupid. She also said “the health care system is broken”, but I assume she doesn’t think that said brokenness applies to her being paid $150,000 a year or more to look confident in a lab coat and tell you things you already know, like that you’re fat or that you shouldn’t vape or whatever.

Excellent doctor
Dr. Call listens and always remembers our previous conversations. She is open and honest about medications as well as tells me what I can do to improve conditions outside of just taking medication.

Excellent family doctor
Dr Call was (assigned by default) but also recommended by my regular nurse when my PCP retired. I was hesitant, having never gotten along well with a female doctor. However, she has been excellent! Like my previous PCP, she tells me what she knows and what she doesn't know. She has always been straight with me. She gave me a diagnosis I was not happy about but was understanding and patient with me without being patronizing . Throughout the whole experience, she was reassuring, available, and helpful. I recommend her highly!

Outstanding!
Dr. Call is my all time favorite doctor! My questions are always answered and explained in a way that’s easy to follow. She looks at the whole picture of my health rather than just symptoms. Dr. Call always makes me feel very comfortable and heard!

Let down
I moved back to Carilion because of Dr. Call. She has changed a lot over the years. I had two injuries that she did not diagnose correctly, and sent me to Carlion's PT people, who, for the second injury, made my condition worse. I can only conclude that she has stopped trying hard. I do not know why that is, but it does correlate with moving to the Plantation Road facility, where three generations of my family have had bad experiences. Nobody was rude to me, just careless. For each injury, I only got an actual diagnosis by going to another doctor, NOT affiliated with that clinic. Beware!

I thought Dr Call was a great doctor until I seen the true side of her and her staff. I was forced by her staff to come into the office to see her and do lab work by them telling me they would no longer give me my blood pressure medications if I did not come to the appointment they scheduled. After coming to that appointment it was down hill from there. I was prescribed a third blood pressure medicine and after reading what the side effects could have possibly been I refused to take it and that created Dr Call to come to the conclusion that she needed to drop me as a patient. Her nurse is not trustworthy and stated things that I never said. Truthfully when Dr Call is questioned about her decisions concerning patient and the patient ask to try other alternatives she does not like it. When Dr Call had her back injury accident she is not the same doctor that I first met. The doctor she has become is someone I do not know and she refuses to respond back to a meeting in her office.

Dismissive of health concerns. Told "Well, it's probably x", repeatedly even when being treated for x has no improvement of serious, worsening, life-altering symptoms. Refused to refer to in-network providers.

Dr Call is a friendly person. I needed labs faxed in to the hospital lab and Dr. Call had her nurse tell me to go to the walk in clinic behind Walgreens for that. ? Seriously ...When a patient is having major surgery at the Cleveland Clinic and the PCP says go to the walk in clinic, during a coronavirus pandemic, it’s time to find a new doctor. The labs could have easily been called in. She had zero regard for my health during a pandemic, nor for my upcoming surgery at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic. Coronavirus is serious. It should be treated as such. Will find a new PCP

Dr. Call is great. The best part about her is that she's always running on time, which is nearly unheard of for a doctor. It makes it so much easier when I don't have to block off half a day to see my physician.

Dr Call is a very professional and friendly doctor. She takes the time to really listen to your concerns and answers all questions. She is very smart and uncovered some medical issues that I wasn’t even aware of. She had me do all the bloodwork and labs and I’m very thankful that I found her, as my regular doctor didn’t do any of the bloodwork required for me in over a year. She found out that I have a major medical issue and I thank God I found her when I did.
