Missed a terminal condition…
She has been my doctor for MANY years, and knows my family history… when I came in to tell her about a sudden issue… she neglected to look into it further. Eight months of her negligence that a simple blood test would have confirmed and she neglected… and now I am trying to heal a terminal illness. My biggest regret is not advocating for myself more instead of just trusting her! Why ask for family history if you don’t factor that in when there are symptoms that may mimick those of your patients??Extremely infuriating!

I saw Dr. Zhou for treatment of a badly sprained wrist that was so acutely painful that I was unable to move my hand in a normal fashion. She dealt with me personally and handled my complaint with exquisite courtesy, kindness and professionalism, sending me immediately to see specialist colleagues in the hospital to further assess the damage to my wrist and find ways to stabilize it and alleviate my pain. Later in the day, having been x-rayed, seen by an orthopedist, and fitted with a splint, I was surprised to get a phone call from Dr. Zhou, asking me how I was doing. This represents an old fashioned, high standard of medical care that, in my opinion, is what can determine whether the outcome of treatment is positive or negative. We need more doctors like Dr.Zhou in practice in a medical world that has become increasingly impersonal and mechanized. I would enthusiastically recommend her to anyone seeking a skilled physician who treats her clinical practice as a serious, patient-focused, respect-worthy profession, rather than just a job.

She didn't schedule a standard scan and missed a terminal condition. If she's your doctor push her for tests. She won't schedule on her own. My biggest regret....
