I broke my leg falling down the stairs. I didn't realize that I broke it - I think it was just a really bad sprain. But after a week of pain I went for Xrays and there was the break. They didn't cast me in the emergency room because I had a case of cellulitis. I was sent to Dr Troy and he was amazing. He fit me with a brace that enabled me to be able to drive. I was able to walk. We did xrays again to ensure it was healing properly. It was a very clean break. I think he is an excellent doctor. I saw him again for ankle issues and he was nothing but helpful. He is old school - he doesn't sugar coat things, which I appreciate. He is blunt and straightforward and I like that in a doctor.

Couple years ago I went to this doctor for help with hip pain from running. I thought I had a stress fracture. His response was "well just because you're 25 and think you can run a marathon doesn't mean you can." He told me to keep running on it to build bone density. I kept coming back, and 6 months and thousands of dollars in debt later he diagnosed me with a stress fracture. When I asked how to heal it or prevent future fractures he told me "I'm not a running coach," and "maybe you're just an unlucky person." It took me years to dig out of the financial debt just to worsen this injury and not get help. Do not go to him unless you want to get worse.

A year ago, Dr Troy operated on my broken shoulder, which was broken in three places. I found him considerate, caring, and an excellent repair man. He showed me my X-rays on request, and my MRI in 3-D, right there in my Emergency Room visit, and even gave me a photo of the X-ray, which I shared with the PT team who healed me, too. I couldn’t ask for better care than I got from him and the Mount Auburn teams. My shoulder works again!

I went to Dr. Troy with some pain in my leg from running. He told me to "google" programs to help me start running again. He had no recommendations for stretches or other exercises. He had no recommendation on how long I should wait to start exercising again, I literally gained nothing from this appointment at all. Would not recommend to anyone.

After looking at only 1 xray of my right shoulder he said I had arthritis and rotator cuff tendonitis and gave me a cortisone shot and sent me to PT. He asked no questions of me. NO MRI. I quite PT after 2 sessions because I just hurt more. The doc for my 2nd opinion took multiple XRAYs and MRI, and said I have a rotator cuff TEAR and minimal arthritis. He even showed me on the XRay where the issue was. Dr. Troy is Arrogant and abad doctor. Would never recommend him or go back. WRONG DIAGNOSIS!

The most arrogant, condescending, and rude doctor I have ever been to. He did not go over my X-Ray or MRI Results with me. He did not explain what was going on with my ankle, called me ridiculous and said "good luck." Do NOT go see him-- you will not be cared for.

Arrogant is the right word. He's probably a good mechanic, but don't count on discussing anything. He obviously went to school before the days there was concern about bedside manner. And if you wear a boot after surgery be sure to buy an Evenup to prevent sacroiliac pain. He won't warn you about it.

Never encountered such an arrogant, lack of caring of a doctor. He was a waste of time, and judging from the other poor reviews, I'm not the only one that had a bad experience. Stay away! There are much more better doctors and at a better facility.

He was honest, available for questions, very skilled in the difficult broken knee cap surgery and the scar is long but minimal. I liked the follow up.

Dr Troy has helped me to continue working with very little pain due to a knee injury I sustained at work. I have been receiving a series of injections of Euflexxa and Viscosupplementation, this procedure has helped reduce swelling and pain and has allowed me to continue living normally. Thanks Gerry, Arlington ,Mass
