Excellent care
I’ve struggled with anxiety when it comes to going to the doctor, and for the first time in my adult life do not mind, and actually look forward to my appointments with Dr. Monti. She is calm, patient, thorough, and gentle. She spends time with me and I never feel rushed or like a number. I leave feeling like a valued patient and trust her wholeheartedly with my health.

Dr Monti and her staff are great, I had a rare case with my IUD and other doctors said they would have to remove my uterus at the time I was 22 and only had one child. I consulted with Dr Monti as referred by some friends and she came up with a plan and removed my IUD. I am now 38 weeks pregnant and it was possible thanks to her.

PART 4 It’s very possible that Dr. Monti is a great doctor, but her office’s policies do not reflect the patient care that I would expect. Needless to say I would not recommend Dr. Monti’s office for their terrible policies and lack of care or empathy.

PART 3 When I called that other doctor’s office and told them I feared I was having a miscarriage they kindly said to me, “We’re going to take care of you.” That is the care that I needed at that moment. What irks me the most is that when I called Dr. Monti’s office to cancel my August 13 appointment after losing my baby, they continued to defend their actions in refusing to help me during the miscarriage. The employee on the phone told me that it was Dr. Monti’s Office’s policy to turn someone away in my situation because I was a “LIABILITY.” As far as I’m concerned, Dr. Monti’s office took on the responsibility of my healthcare once they put me on their schedule and said they would take me on as a new patient. I’m a human being who deserved HEALTH CARE in that moment. Why on Earth would you have such a policy if indeed you were looking after people’s health? It’s very possible that Dr. Monti is a great doctor, but her office’s policies do not reflect the patient care that I woul

PART 2 The receptionist told me that I should just go to the Emergency Room instead. So in the middle of having a miscarriage I was turned down by the doctor’s office that had me scheduled for an appointment the following week. I’m a young, healthy individual who has no place going to the ER in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic. There are enough ultrasound machines in the city of Dallas, that there is absolutely no reason for me to have to go to the ER for someone to tell me whether my baby had a heartbeat or not and advise me on what to do during a miscarriage. I was scared and extremely sad, and I needed a professional to be there for me. Dr. Monti’s office simply wasn’t. My husband and I decided that we would just start calling other doctors offices on our insurance to avoid having to go to the ER. As it turns out, I was able to get into another doctor’s office THAT VERY SAME DAY.

PART 1 I’m writing this review because I feel that Dr. Monti’s office left me hanging at a time when I needed them most, and I think anyone considering this office should know this. Once I found out I was pregnant I started looking for a doctor within my insurance network. Dr. Lauren Monti was on my top 5 list of doctors I wanted to call based on reviews I had seen online. I am relatively new to the Dallas area and had not established myself with an OB/GYN just yet. Her office scheduled my initial appointment for August 13th. The week before my first visit I began to show signs of possible miscarriage. The next day it got worse and I began to worry that I was going to lose my baby. I called Dr. Monti’s office to see if they could see me that day or the following day. The receptionist informed me that they would not be able to see me that day or ANY day that week. I asked her, “so there’s no way you can help me?,’ in which replied “no.”

She runs very behind on appointments, but it is only becuase she spends as much time with each patient as is warranted. I have never felt rushed during my appointment, which is a rarity these days. I would recommend her strongly- she is worth the wait.

She is the most amazing doctor. I wish she could be my Dr for everything and not just OBGYN related stuff. I feel so comfortable with her and she truly cares for all of her patients. She is hands down the most amazing person!
