Dr. Binder is extremely thorough!
I am so happy with Dr. Binder. He really listens and is one of the most thorough physicians I've ever been to. He was high recommended by my PCP and I am so glad! I would highly recommend him.

Not current on neurological conditions
I never made it to this doctor, because I found out before my first appointment that he doesn't believe my condition falls under his specialty. My *neurological* ICD-10 code begs to differ. He tried to insist my condition is psychological. If you have this dysautonomia, or any kind of post viral illness, this kind of care will make you worse.

Negative Experience
My new-patient appointment was surreal. Within mere minutes of entering the office, Dr. Binder diagnosed me with PPMS, said there're no treatments available "because of my age", and sent me off with three MRI orders and a prescription for depression. He asked me and my adult daughter few questions about my symptoms and previous medical care. He answered even fewer of ours. He was cold, impatient, and dismissive, and exactly the type of doctor who probably should not have pursued medicine as a career. Having had MS for almost two decades, I am familiar with and well read enough about the disease to know that there ARE medications available for PMS and PPMS and that doctors do NOT diagnose or treat patients without the appropriate imaging results and/or medical history. Do not waste your time with this person.

Not qualified to treat MS patients
My original neurologist from UMD retired and I decided to try to find a new provider closer to me. To my detriment, I found Dr Binder. I was high functioning, doing well on copaxone and could do anything I wanted. In March 2022 I went to see Dr Binder and he said my MS had "burned out" and at "my age" copaxone could cause cancer (I have since found out it doesn't cause cancer), copaxone "doesn't do much anyway", and I could go off the meds. Thrilled to no longer have to inject myself 3 times a week, I stupidly listened. 6 short months later I have lost the ability to swallow and eat normally, my body is weak and painful and I'm lucky I can still walk. I am going back to UMD neurology to get back on track. Dr Binder robbed me of my life. I will never forgive him and his treatment of me from the moment I met him felt condescending - I have never been treated as old until I met this doctor. I was 56. Not that old. Stay away if you have MS!!!
