Melt Down
Dr. Gill lost it with me yesterday. I think he needs a hug. He went on about how 'you people' don't appreciate how much he has sacrificed as a doctor. Missing his daughter's birthday and other life events in the past 20 years so he can help us. How he eats lunch late to fit in an unscheduled appointment. He complained how employees would leave and then come back when they realized the grass wasn't greener. He was ranting and raving and pacing behind me while I was checking out. I figured he needed to feel appreciated and I told him I did. Then he said he really does like people and his job. He offered to wave my co-pay. After all his drama, he referred me to an Obgyn. I would have preferred to give him this feedback personally but I have no way to contact him directly.

Dishonestly attempts to maximize profits
Very adamant about unneeded follow up appointments. Consistently and deliberately miscatergorizes visits to insurance to maximize profits. Refuses to return money that is reimbursed by insurance. It seems like the entire staff is onboard with prioritizing profits over care.

Not a good guy
He spends most of the office visit looking at his computer. He listened to my heart and said that I have a leaky mitro valve. The way that's usually diagnosed is through an ultrasound, but none was done. I've since gone to a cardiologist and learned that I don't have a leaky mitro valve. Some of my husband's office visits ended up on my bill although my husband was on medicare and I was not. The whole experience was a mess.

MY RNP IS TOPS! BILLING NEEDS UPDATING TO ONLINE!
Dr Gill is of the Grass Valley Extended Care group. 4.5 years ago I had adept MD, Dr. Kulkarni. 1.5 years later he moved to Southern CA. Since then I have had to change MDs in this group 4 times and am now treated by an RNP at Dr. Jeremy Frost's office- I like her for her approach to holistic medicine. Being a PHN myself, she is a relief. I have asked many times to get an online pay site. 95% of all my bills are paid online- I am sure many other patients would like to have that service available... Not sure why it takes so long. It certainly would relieve the staff from having to take or make calls instead of taking care of patients and shortening the time of waiting to be seen... This is not a staff problem, this is a managerial decision problem. I rate the present service with 4 stars for my overall care. If certain procedural changes took place to improve speed and accuracy of paperwork and bill paying,,, that would get a 5.

Have been with Dr. Gill for several years; prefer seeing his Nurse Practitioner (who is excellent). Dr. Gill seems to be focused on quantity of office visits; he spends very little time with you, looks at his computer almost all the time, rather than at you, asks little or nothing about you, your general health, etc. He focuses on data. Office staff are good but overworked; high turnover. Have tried to switch doctors often, but finding one I like is difficult--good ones full.

At first, I could "see" Dr. Gill, who is a very nice, very knowledgeable doctor, for my appointments --- until on a new visit, when I was herded into a different room by a Nurse Practitioner, and assigned to her for several subsequent appointments. No longer was I to experience with each visit the stethoscope and the breathing test, and hands were not washed. Recently, when I made a statement about one of my conditions, the NP insisted I was wrong about it. A very unpleasant experience.

Was initially satisfied with the care I received, but not now. I was treated in a cluttered and dirty side room and left on my own to stop the respiratory treatment when it was done. They now ask for more frequent visits and the wait times have increased, two hours one day, an hour another. I asked for help with wait gain likely due to my hypothyroid condition and was told to eat less by Dr. Gill. My nurse practitioner got angry at me for mistakenly calling her a PA. Too busy and disconnected.

5 year patient. Poor communication skills and very little time spent with patients. Gets offended when a second opinion is requested. Takes patient input regarding medication side effects very poorly. In office medical examination equipment in poor repair (ultrasound.) Tremendous office staff turnover. Tends to require frequent (two week interval) for office visits compared to other Doctors.
