Exemplary Excellence
Dr Kodi Asari is an exemplary physician and surgeon. In 2023 he performed two surgeries to alleviate the effects of bilateral carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome. Dr Azari and his team took the time to diagnose and understand my symptoms. Surgery was performed on my left (non-dominant) wrist and elbow in March, and on my right in August. The results have been welcome relief from the numbness and pain associated with the nerve obstruction I had been experiencing.I highly recommend Dr Azari. It is obvious he has the utmost respect of his team and co-workers. He is kind, concerned, and a brilliant communicator. I would also like to offer particular praise to his coordinator Yesenia. She is fantastic partner in the care offered by Dr Azari and his colleagues. I am indebted to Jessie for her attention to my case.

dr azari is one of the best surgeons
My husband has had about 8 surgeries with Dr Kodi Azari and I can tell you he’s one of the best doctors and surgeons that we’ve ever met. He is truly the best in his field. I can’t say enough great things about him and you would be lucky to have him as your doctor.

Do not see Dr. Azari if you deal with a mental illness such as anxiety. I had hand surgery done by him and he is the most unfriendly, intolerant, untrustworthy doctor that will probably traumatize you if you deal with any form of anxiety. Throughout the entire process I wasn't taken seriously or even listened to. There was multiple incidents before surgery and after that made me feel so negatively towards Dr. Azari. I was not taken seriously or accommodated after sharing my concerns with Dr. Azari. I am pleased with the results of my hand, but I would not recommend this Doctor if you deal with anxiety.

I am thrilled and astonished with the care I received during my outpatient wrist surgery by Kodi Azari at SM Orthopedic surgery center. I had very invasive surgery and was treated with the utmost care, compassion and reassurance by his team. Probably 15 different practitioners crossed my path that day during the 5 or so hours I was there, and it unfolded like a carefully choreographed ballet. I was professionally "handled" by each member. I was sent home with an On-Q nerve numbing device that for a few days after surgery served to keep me pain free without opioids - which amazed me...and a doctor called me personally for 5 days after surgery to check in. I wouldn't wish this surgery on anyone, but have to say, for what it was, I'm tremendously thankful for the care that I was given. My follow up visit with Dr. Azari revealed a scar that was barely visible.

I wish I could tell you Dr. Azari was professional, caring, and compassionate, but never had the chance to even meet him. Tried for six weeks (and six follow-up phone calls) for an appointment and couldn't even get a call back. Extremely unprofessional staff and as the old adage goes "it starts at the top".
