Dr. Kenneth Merchant, MD

Dr. Kenneth Merchant is patient, explains everything in layman's terms, and has a fantastic manner. Sadly, the reception can be rude, and not very sympathetic. The prescheduled appointment time to see the Doctor is usually around an hour late. It can be later. Even being the first appiontment of the day is usually at least half an hour late. Sadly, this is why I only gave it 3 stars.

Waited over 1 hour in exam room without any contact from Doctor or Staff had to leave for another appointment

Dr. Merchant was very late in seeing me. I sat in the waiting room and patient exam room 2.5 hours past my appointment time on my last visit. He was very overbooked apparently and rushed through my appointment. He needs to do a better job of listening to patients questions and explaining things. He gets upset when he is interrupted and does not ask the patient if they have any questions for him before rushing out of the exam room. I have had Dr. Merchant as a PCP for a year now and will be selecting a new PCP. My observations are from multiple visits not just one.

I never even saw the doctor! The office refused to refund my co-pay! Rudest intake “nurse” ever! Said I came late ( No, I came 25 minutes early!- but they wanted 30 minutes to fill out new paperwork-give me a break!!) Then was told the doctor “didn’t have time to go over a few of my concerns; after making me wait an hour. I balked at that; the intake young woman got very sarcastic and rude. I told her to leave ; and let me talk to the office manager or the doctor. She went outside the room and loudly announced I was the one being the problem. She came back in smirking and said I was the one that had to leave! I asked for the officer manager contact information and they refused to give it! They also refused to give me a refund for service not rendered. The only thing I was “provided” was an hour and a half time waster ; and being out $!!
