Thorough
Dr. Baker conducted a thorough review of my health history from youth to my 70s with my current chronic conditions. She also examined my family's health history. She came well prepared with my treatment history over the course of my life. I could not be more thankful for her professionalism, expertise, and care.

Most degrading, egotistical doctor I've seen.
I went for my initial appointment and was told that due to not having my covid shot I would need to wear a mask and gloves. I was also told by the front desk staff that my husband could not come back. We drove an hour to see this doctor. After I told them I would really like for him to be in the consult, they got the doctor. Then they proceeded to "clear" the waiting room because the doctor wanted to talk with us. The doctor came to the door of the waiting room and proceeded to berate us, in a loud aggressive voice (I have never met this woman). Telling us this was her policy and due to our choice of infecting others because we wouldn't get the shot we are inciting this confusion. I looked at my husband and said I would like to find another doctor and do not want to continue here, I grabbed my purse and began to stand. But this doctor continued yelling at us, telling us we don't understand this disease, we don't see what she witnesses everyday, that we are insensitive, irrespon

Most Condescending Person I've Ever Met
I've been to my fair share of doctors in my life while dealing with various inflammatory issues, this was by far the worse experience I've ever had at a doctor. Not only is her office staff muted and not personable, but she is condescending, rude, arrogant and extremely preachy. An actual quote from her, "I'm old enough to be your mom, so I'm going to talk to you like I'm your mom." (I'm 42) I heard her demean a worker at a blood bank - "It's beneath me" - "Not worth my time" "I would ask you, but you wouldn't know the answer" etc... If you're missing on the joy of being around a megalomaniac, then go see her, otherwise find another hematologist. There are others that are good without having to subjugate yourself to her ego.

Dr. Baker is the best doctor I have ever experienced. She is professional, caring, and kind. She found out what was going on with me quickly when other physicians didn't even seem to care. She takes the time to explain medical conditions in laymans terms so I could understand it. The only negative thing I can say is about paying $40 co-pay for labs done in her office. Not a fan of that, but everything else is GREAT!!!!

Basically, she saved my husbands life. He was diagnosed with a very rare cancer and she and her team at Methodist moved very quickly and that was January of 2008. And he is up and about and riding his dirt bike and he is now 71 years old. The staff if very busy and very helpful. No one can imagine how many patients they have and they keep everything running smoothly and very quickly. We owe them all his life and our sense of normalcy! Thank you very much! Words can't express our gratitude!

Belittling attitude toward patients. She probably the most unfriendly doctor I have ever encountered. Acts as if she is above you. I wouldn't recommend her to my worst enemy. Her office staff is just as unfriendly and the front office is very difficult to deal with.

Dr. Baker was recommended to me by my long term primary and pulmonary physician. Dr. Baker successfully treated my anemia and provides close monitoring of my condition. Her office functions like a clock. My blood work is done in-house and in ten minutes the results are presented to me in a consultation. Dr. Baker is easy to talk with, she listens to your concerns and takes time to educate you about your condition.

Dr. Kelty Baker has been such a blessing to my family. She is extremely intelligent and down to earth. If it had not been for Dr. Baker, my 68 year old aunt who has sickle cell ,would not be here today. My aunts previous hematologist was giving my aunt tons of blood transfusions without removing the iron from her blood. Thanks to Dr. Baker, she informed us of iron overload and fixed the problem. Not only is she loved by her patients but she is highly respected among her colleagues and students

My Dad has been in the hospital for 9 weeks ago with life threatening issues. Dr. Baker saw him for the first time as on call doc. Dad developed a swollen/hot lump and as she examined it, she diagnosed it as one thing and I asked if it could be something else. Her response was incredibly defensive, sarcastic and condescending towards me. I tried to address her attitude but she turned her back on me. I don't care if she's a doctor or not, she disrespected me and that's unprofessional.
