Great Doctor
Dr Pajela is friendly, smart, and down to earth. She listened to me, asked follow-up questions, and told me in plain language what she thought was going on. Like others, she started me with PT, and sent me specific exercises while I was still in the appointment. She has given me just-in-case worst-scenario options, so I’m not lying on the floor for a week if my back spasms, which I also appreciate. Appointments run on time, and the office staff is friendly and helpful.

LOVE Dr. Pajela
Dr. Pajela sent me in several directions with my low back/hip/groin problem I had in 2021/2022. I recently saw her for shoulder blade pain that goes up my neck into my skull to the top of my skull causing major headaches. She asked me if I had any other issues which of course I did. In the end I am now working with 5 different doctors and PT experts then a follow up visit in person in 3 months.

Terrible clinician
Dr Pajella did not listen to the symptoms I explained and told me the cause was entirely elsewhere. She then avoided the multiple MRIs that followed which did not support her theory but rather my symptoms. In the end, she was entirely wrong at each step in her assessment of my condition. If she had listened and thought more critically of the symptoms and imaging presented to her then I would've been better off with my care. Instead, an issue that she said would resolve in three weeks has continued for years and is treated by specialists for the severity and attention it requires. She wants to put you in a box with the 98% of similar cases, but doesn't know how to look beyind that.

Christine Darco. Review same scenario as me
Another patient stated sane experience as me. Misdiagnosis. Then defensive. PT referred me to was even more confused than me in her decisions. Best to get multiple opinions if possible

Level of care is zero.
Although her personality is pleasant, her level of care is horrible. Having severe back and neck pain, I was referred to her. She did not take xrays, she just reviewed previous xrays, complaining about how badly they were taken. Exams with her were always the same, walk 4 feet inside a tiny exam room, and she tests your reflexes. Nothing else. Even when you continue to see her, and tell her that you are not feeling better. She recommended I go to physical therapy. Only....it took her over 2 weeks for her to send me the instructions for what she wants the physical therapists to do. And that took 7 attempts and 2 supervisors to reach her to tell her I cannot get into physical therapy without it. She ignored all calls, emails and messages. 3 months plus into physical therapy, and I was still not feeling better. She ignored that as well. She kept pushing muscle relaxants, and ignored every symptom I told her I had. Turns out I was right and she was wrong. My pain is sciatic. Not muscle.

Super nice, incredibly personable. Usually listens well when patient describes symptoms, not always but it’s been mostly okay! Definitely methodical & kindly takes time to answer questions. Also very friendly and genuinely tries to help you as a whole medically and be realistic. She’s humanizing, isn’t judgmental, and overall I liked seeing her!

Dr. Pajela was great from start to finish! Ended up having a fusion and stenosis in 2012. I am still working as a cna, which I bend and lift constantly and am a full time custodian averaging 18,000 steps per day!! Yes, 18,000 steps! Before seeing her, I was in so much pain-I couldn’t walk without severe leg &lower back pain! Still feeling great! She has a great team of Doctors and surrounding therapists!
