I was admitted to the hospital with a bad strep throat infection and was told I needed to be on observation for a few days with IV antibiotics. The next morning Dr. Fogarty (newly assigned to me) told me I was being discharged, was dismissive of my concerns and made me feel awkward about asking for a second opinion. I was discharged and then came back to the hospital to be readmitted an hour later because I was in lots of pain. She made a huge mistake that cost me time and pain with a dangerous infection. Definitely avoid her and if you get her, insist on seeing another doctor who listens.

She was dismissive of my husbands needs and discharged him inappropriately, an hour after being discharged we had to return to the ER and prolonged his illness. When we asked for a second opinion her response was that she didn’t think anyone else would come talks to us and ignored our requests. NO THANK YOU to her! We love Kaiser and have had such great service here except for Dr Fogarty

WORST DOCTOR EVER! But we didn’t realize that she totally blew many signs of a serious illness off. She was dismissive and was not willing to spend anytime with you. Just kept saying let’s wait another day. Please, change doctors if you get her. She is NOT fit to be a doctor and I’m surprised that Kaiser allows this to keep happening. We are not the only ones to receive sub standard care.

Chronic illness for over 12 years you get more with sugar than you do sour... I am always the utmost polite and respectful of all nurse staff and doctors. This doctor has zero bedside manner, is accusatory, argumentative, and judgemental. I had to actually compose myself overnight and plan how to get out of the hospital away from this woman back to the comfort of my own home out of the hospital. I made sure to let her know her bedside manner is not appropriate and we are the patients. Fire her

Mean. Spiteful. Vindictive. This doctor is burnt out, and by her own admission, overwhelmed by her workload and "the fires that she had to put out." Her personal bias gets in the way of providing effective medical treatment. If you have the misfortune to be randomly assigned to Dr. Fogarty, I strongly recommend you ask for another physician. Kaiser Sunset has some excellent medical providers- Dr. Fogarty is not one of them.

I agree with the previous comment. She did the same thing today to my father and while he was looking helplessly, she blurts out angrily that he does not need IV or feeding tube because those things will not prolong his life. At best, he has a few months to live. We've paid our monthly Kaiser dues for many years and now that we need the svcs, we get this. UNBELIEVABLE.

Not professional. Cold hearted person this Kathyn Fogarty, she always says to her patients and patient family is poor prognosis , and recommend for palliative care, without even try to treat the present problem of her patient. That's why patient come to the hospital because they need help, but what you will heard from her is poor prognosis and recommend for palliative care. What kind of human being is that, she just see once the patient in the hospital then she recommended for palliative care.
