Dr. Kathryn Durham, MD

Dr Durham is extremely competent… taking care of business in a professional manner. She is friendly but promptly gets the job done. I’m very pleased with her work.

Dr. Durham does a full body scan because I have a history of skin cancer in my family. She is very thorough and does a good job. The office staff are helpful and accommodating.She has also done some cosmetic work to remove red moles and age spots. She does a good job with that as well.

Had 2 minor surgical procedures done at 2 different times. Dr. Durham was great and so were the staff during the procedure and when I came back to have stitches removed. Very professional but also very informative to my questions.

Efficient office. No nonsense Physician. Nice, but gets down to business. Leaving the appt. I thought wow, that was easy and quick.

I went in for a yearly and one problem. She was dismissive. Said the procedure her colleague and another Derm recommended for skin damage was unnecessary. (I’m high risk for skin cancer so it is needed) wants to treat way to much with steroids. Didn’t listen and wouldn’t let me ask about concerns. Walked out. Then her staff told me 3 times they sent a pre auth for the medication. They have not. Had to ask her PAs nurse to help me. It’s been a month and still no help with the prescription to get it covered. Can’t afford $1008 a month for one medication. It’s not for cosmetics and it can go systemic if not treated. Still waiting. Seems I will have to find someone else to use because this is inexcusable. They also tried to charge me more than $100 over my copay when no procedures were done.

I had Mohs surgery twice to remove skin cancer on my head. As a result, I 'got religion' and started taking strict measures to prevent any further recurrence, such as wearing a wide-brimmed hat and always using sunscreen. However, I learned that it was also important to have regular checkups for skin cancer from a professional. I inquired about Dr. Durham, including her medical education, high ratings and her professional reputation. As a result, I have seen her twice a year for the past four years. She is thorough, knowledgeable and totally professional. Thanks to Dr. Durham and my preventative measures, I have had no further cases of skin cancer.

I had the worst experience with Dr. Durham. Her bedside manner was absolutely unacceptable. She was rushed, dismissive, and had no time to listen to my concerns. When I asked her to quickly check my back, she told me I’d need to schedule another appointment for that. I felt completely disregarded as a patient. To make matters worse, I was charged far more than expected for a basic wart removal with a nitrogen spray, something I’ve had done elsewhere before at a much more reasonable cost. The entire visit left me upset to the point where her office staff called me after seeing how distressed I was as I left. They asked me to come back for a follow-up, but I refused. I will not be returning, and I strongly recommend others look for a dermatologist who actually values and listens to their patients. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I was very fortunate to be able to get an appointment quickly with Dr. Durham. She told me what she was going to do and then she did the procedure. She was very efficient and took care of my problem quickly. When she was done, she asked if I had any questions. The staff that we encountered was just wonderful. We will be going back.

Wait time was about 15 minutes and exam, although thorough, performed efficiently.
