Terrible
Doesn’t listen. And needs to be right even at the patient’s dismay. Didn’t listen, prescribed toxic meds for my condition.

Negligent Doctor
My partner went to see Dr. Kasik in November. He had a myriad of mild symptoms, but he mostly was concerned about his beard loss. He feared that it was possibly cancer related. The doctor looked at him and said, "it's not cancer". on January 28th, 3 months later, he was diagnosed with testicular cancer. This doctor is negligent and will not listen to any of your concerns. I highly urge you to find any other doctor.

Best Doctor in Portland
After seeing well over 25 doctors/specialists in the Portland area I gave up on medical professionals for my hopeless condition. I saw Dr. Kasik on a whim to get a specialist referral for something unrelated and was surprised that she was actually empathetic about my other condition and willing to help look for solutions. Dr. Kasik did not dismiss me when test results failed to diagnose the problem, and instead listened to my issues and continued to look for solutions. She was not afraid to run tests or suggest medications that may help a hopeless case. Ultimately, with her help I have not only become functional and capable of working again, but over the course of a few years I've reached a point where I genuinely feel healthy. Frankly I'm shocked seeing many of these reviews as for me she was the rare doctor that bothered to help. The staff at her old place did have many issues with scheduling and needing to re-run blood draws, but staff at the new place have been much better so far

The first reviewer was correct. Kathrine Kasik doesn't have an ego to coddle, and has an open mind. However, she hasn't more than the absolute minimal skills for a GP, nor does she have much fortitude. She was very eager to help me at first, but seemed to quickly burn out once she realized my case was complicated.

Most of my experiences with Dr Kasik are already in the other 1-star reviews, so she definitely has a pattern of bad behavior. Pushes antidepressants, doesn't like complex medical issues, pawns patients off on specialists with no follow-up and is openly impatient with patients. She treated me badly and argued with me during most visits. Her reviews around the web are low. She has upset a lot of patients because she's a terrible doctor.

I've seen dr kasik several times with no answers. Everything is so dragged out. Her assistants literally take a week to get back to me with wrong information. So I do more waiting while feeling absolutely miserable. No sense of urgency or solutions except for prescribing anti depressants, even though I am NOT depressed.

Dr kasik may be a good physician if your problem is easy to diagnose or you need drugs. Anything mildly complex, all I can say is good luck! Your symptoms must be all in your head. She also disregarded how horrible I was feeling. I'm a 30 yr old female, how can tHere be something wrong with me? Nothing worse then being extremely sick and going to a doctor for help, only to be blown off!! Her assistants are morons as well!

Unlike far too many doctors, Kasik doesn't seem to have her pride on the line. She is not afraid to admit what she cannot do. This leads to her actually pursuing unexplained issues rather than passing them off with a scapegoat diagnosis, unlike many doctors who feel their pride is at stake.
