July 2022 Update
I wanted to make a follow-up comment regarding my July 9, 2021 review. Things are definitely better now. The receptionists and nurses are friendly and helpful, and the new nurse practitioner is kind, attentive and takes time to assess and discuss your overall well-being. She's great. My only issue is that sometimes it takes days to get a call back regarding a request, or to be notified that a request was fulfilled. Overall, great job!

Very terrible exerpience. My wife went in for her appoiintment and the front desk clerks were very rude and aggresive towards her. Although the nurses and doctor were the complete opposiite and were very nice and care about my wife's well being.

Staff still an issue
My entire family sees Dr Allman and as a professional I do believe she is intelligent, thorough, and does take the time to listen. However, I do believe she orders more tests than required. Plus the wait, there is absolutely no reason why we should wait 1.5 hours other than poor scheduling. Her staff, oh my word!Constant turnover, ladies at front desk no personality and very rude. Elizabeth, a new employee, the only bright and positive employee in the office. Great job in hiring her, just hope she will stay with all of the other rude staff members.

Dr. Allman is great. She is caring, understanding and friendly. The problem is getting to her. I couldn't tell you how many times I have been put on hold for extended periods of time of just got no answer at all. I also have had trouble with getting lab orders sent to the particular lab that I prefer to use because it is more convenient to me.

I've had issues with the staff in the past, but not lately. Dr. Allman is very thorough and takes her time talking to me about my issues or my test results. I can't say anything bad about the office after my last visit.

Staff is rude and nonresponsive. They've obviously never had to call their own office to try and get anything they need. The staff is more interested in policy than customer service. The last straw was when they refused service to me when I was 15 minutes late for my appointment. They said I could reschedule, but would have to pay a missed appointment fee. No thanks, I'll go somewhere else. Adios.

Love Dr. Allman. Cannot and will not go back due to they way the office is managed. Constant personnel changes, no one knows what is going on, prescriptions are not called on time, appointments are made and cancelled on a whim, the doctor was late for telehealth appointments, and billing is offsite. Impossible to ask questions on billing or to correct errors. Will not go back after being a patient since the office open.

Her office manager made an appoint with a eye doctor without getting my permission. I called him and told him to cancel the appointment and he refused. He said that we do this for all our patients. Needless to say I found a new doctor.

This place is awful. Staff is rude, and they don't bill things properly. To even get in contact with billing is an absolute nightmare. Would never recommend!

Dr Allman is great about ordering tests, however, after my ultrasound on my thyroid, they made me come back in person for an appt to get the results. Turns out they found something on the ultrasound, but waited a whole month until I could come back in to simply advise that I make an appointment with an ENT to have a biopsy done!!!! Turns out I did have cancer!!!! Dr Allman’s office should have called me immediately after the ultrasound to advise me to see an ENT instead of greedily making me come in for another appointment. I haven’t been back. Which is a shame because Dr Allman is a good Dr. She is just allowing profit to make her decisions for her which is costing her patients.

I never see Dr. Allman, only NP and I was on my third (the first two were gone). Office personal are horrid. They keep sending us a bill and the return address is for Heritage. She closed Heritage a long time ago but no one has changed the return address to office on Jeff Rd. I have told them this but has fallen on deaf ears in the office. Will not go back. There was one nurse I really liked.

The staff is rude, and Dr. Allman doesn’t seem to be considerate of work schedules. Even though I have specialists that I see, she insists on frequent visits that don’t seem necessary.

Had appointment and tests done, then had to pay at follow up appointment $178 a week later or they wouldn't see me. Never had to do that when my BCBS insurance hasn't even had time to pay?? Apparently they do this often and people have issues getting their $ refunded. I won't go back. Office staff at check out is rude and not knowledgable about pending insurance. Also Dr. Allman had the nurse do an EKG. Nurse came back in and said there was an abnormality and I was being referred to a cardiologist. Dr never dame back in to explain so I was left worrying for weeks. Poor bedside manner.

Yes, I like Dr. Allman. I LOVE Kim. But the office staff has issues. Not told to fast when receiving blood work, or an ultrasound. Waiting two weeks for blood work that wasn’t normal. (Don’t they usually call you in sooner to get to the bottom of it?). Orders filled out wrong for a procedure, the hospital figured it out. Couldn’t fax a school excuse to the school.

I agree with most of the other reviews. I like Dr. Allman and think she is a good doctor that listens and pays attention to what I say. I do not like when I call in the morning for a referral that I know takes less than 5 minutes and by the next day no referral or no call back as to why the referral was not sent. I do not like that every single time we need paperwork filled out we must come in for a physical, even if the most recent physical was less than a month ago. I do not like the lack of communication. It’s ridiculous to be seen again and again and again for simple paperwork for my daughter to start a day program or go to summer camp. I understand paying to have the paperwork completed but it’s ridiculous to be seen 3 times in 6 months for physicals just so paperwork can be completed. It’s ridiculous my son can not be seen by a specialist because the office refuses to return calls or send the referral. I’m not certain where the fault is, the doctor should be more aware.

Being I never had the option of speaking to or meeting Dr. Allman, this is not about her personally. This is more about the office management and quality of service from the hired help. So, first impressions are everything, I should have listened to my gut feelings! Bottom line up front: No recommendation! I waited for a full hour (yes, I timed it) inside a tiny, hot (yes, hot vs. cold), and stuffy exam room without a word. Hearing female laughter outside the room I finally decided to leave.

I’ve gone to Dr. Allman since she first opened with the other Dr. I’m glad she finally went back to Jeff Rd. The staff is very nice in the office & on the phone. I really like Kim, her PA. She listened to me & l liked her diagnosis, helped me understand what l need to do. There’s a new group with her so try her again. I waited a very short time. Highly recommend

I was told Allman Family Medicine was a collaborative practice which means the doctor and nurse practitioners work together on my care. I have seen Dr. Allman and love her and have also seen one of the practitioners. Both of them spent time understanding my issues when speaking with me.
