So thankful for Dr. Schultz!
Dr. Schultz removed my sciatic nerve from between L4and L5. I haven’t had any problems with sciatica in 20 years. He also diagnosed my piriformis syndrome. I learned what to do about it and can usually take care of flare ups. He is an excellent doctor and takes time with each patient to explain and answer questions which I appreciate. My husband had trigeminal neuralgia and could not improve with medication, so he chose surgery. Dr. Schultz was very clear about his options, and surgery went great and took care of his problem. We both appreciate Dr. Schultz and recommend him to everyone we know.

When I saw Dr Shultz, he was the first doctor ( out of 3 ) that explained the different parts of the spine in my back and the issues causing my pain well enough for me to make the decision to try surgery or not. Also, he was more conservative in the surgery offered. I would definitely refer this doctor.

Great visit! First of all Fran checked me in & out. She was so friendly! That was my first impression of this office. I wish more people cared about that. Thank you Fran! Since I had never been there before, that alone made me more comfortable. Dr Schultz was very nice & easy to talk to. He spent a lot of time with me that nobody else had ever done relating to the issue I was there for. He explained options with possible results & consequences. I appreciate that so much because I know he is very busy. Very impressed! I would totally recommend this physician & office in Gainesville.

Dr. Karl Schultz is a highly skilled neurologist. He took care of my child after an accident that caused fractures and a brain injury. I believe that his care plan helped my child to recover to become his best self. He and his staff were supportive and answered our many questions along the way. We are grateful for his time and his talents in our child's recovery.

First appointment. My appointment was at 10 am. I arrived by 9:45 as requested. Went into exam room around 10:30. It’s now12 noon. Still haven’t seen the doctor. Not a great first impression. If he’s not in here by 12:30, I’m leaving.

Dr. Karl Schultz Jr., Is a fine Surgeon. He takes time to explain the procedure, and during the surgery he keeps the family informed. He truly cares for his patients. The waiting room time is little long because he takes time with every patient so he can understand their condition, & he makes sure they know if he thinks he can help them & how

Five weeks after surgery for spinal stenosis I am walking 3mi. a day or swimming 1/2 mi. at Francis Meadows. My full range of motion is returning as I practice yoga each day. Will begin to carefully swing a golf club this weekend. I look forward to reporting this to Dr. Schultz at my post op follow up visit today.

Arrived early. External office staff very good. Reasonable wait time; BUT THEN the doctor. Waited one hour in exam room. Went to desk questioned Jason on delay. Heard our name through door and heard was out of order doctor seeing patients. We waited another 40 minutes hearing M.D. in other rooms. This patient could no longer stand nor sit due to pain. Needed to lie down. We chose to leave notifying desk. Nothing was said, we left. Report, at my request, sent to our home. Completed as though M.D. saw patient. We are now in a different M.D.'s office.

I had MULTIPLE problems with my spine and searched for the best surgeon. Several doctors advised against surgery, but I was stuck in a wheelchair unless someone could give me a miracle. I was highly impressed with Dr Schultz the first time I met him. He was focused, compassionate and knowledgeable. I did have to wait an hour to see him, but I had his full attention when it was my turn. After consulting with other neurosurgeons, he determined he could do this delicate and dangerous surgery. Since multiple problems were involved, he did three surgeries in five days. The surgeries have been totally successful seven months post! I must mention I am 73 years old. I highly recommend this doctor and Chad his PA.

Was referred to Dr. Scholz from my neurologist. L4 L5 disc were protruding pinching the S1 nerve root. Dr. Schultz did laminectomy and microdiscectomy. Had even more pain after surgery and the pain was in different areas. Nerve conduction studies we’re not done prior to the surgery. Turns out I have been diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy. I wonder if it was caused by the surgery or if the surgery was on necessary? Dr. Schultz and his head nurse were very rude during My visits.

I have seen Dr. Schultz twice and both he, his nurse Marleen and PA Kathy were exceptional. I am a medical management professional myself and have upmost respect for their professionalism and care shown to me. Dr. Schultz thoroughly went over my MRIs and explained my options in detail. Answered all my questions and didn't feel rushed. I've had several friends who's seen him for neurosurgery procedures and had great outcomes. I'm fully trusting him with mine! Many thanks Dr. Schultz and staff!

Rude staff, doesnt care about patient care, impersonal, overly flirty, there is no communication between staff and especially to the patient. Rude to patients with severe spine injury who need pain medicine.
