We live Dr Batra!
My husband and I both see Dr Batra as our PCP. She listens well, is caring, and always comes up with a good plan.

Disappointing
After almost two years at this office I left. Having a chronic illness, I spoke extensively with Dr Batra before moving to her practice. Explained my expectations and concerns. She’s was all onboard. Initially things seemed good. As time went on, every request was met with a, you have to come in. Ridiculously so, I was away (1500 miles away)and needed a COVID PCR test. I arranged the appointment, sent them the fax number, address, time of appt. They just had to send an order. I was told you need to come in, but you can’t anyway we have no appts available!!! What?!?! Messages not returned. I felt so much dismissive behavior. I finally had enough when Dr Batra was answering a text message, as I was in mid sentence, I stopped talking, she didn’t even notice I stopped talking. I explained one of my symptoms had not changed at all, she cut the med back to half dose. I don’t understand. Wrote in my report I was angry one of my meds didn’t work…no…I was angry over the level of treatment.

Complete lack of empathy or compassion
I had to go without my anti-anxiety/depression medication for 5 days--without any courtesy refill, and NO communication from Dr. Batra or UCHealth--which was a very scary time for me. I tried to get it refilled before I ran out, and called the clinic (which I found out was really just a call center) 3-4 times over 5 days. I was told 3 different times by 3 different people they would send a "high priority message" to Dr. Batra. I never heard anything. Later, Dr. Batra tells me that she "gets hundreds of messages a day, I can't read all those." Finally, I get to an appointment with her (after waiting for almost 1 HOUR), and she ignores what I'm saying, interrupts me, and talks down to me saying "My feedback for you is..." It felt so extremely condescending and rude. I'm in tears at this point, asking why no one reached out to me about my prescription expiring and tell me that I needed to make an appointment and

NOT what a decent doctor is. Not even close.
This is not intended to be a rant, but simply a review and heads-up to anyone looking for a new doctor or clinic. Dr. Kalindi Batra and/or the UCHealth system: BEWARE: You may fall through the cracks, not be listened to (or talked down to, lectured, or interrupted when speaking), and/or you may be without your meds for up to a week with absolutely no warning, communication, or explanation whatsoever. In short: Healthcare at its (almost) worse. However, Courtney S. there is wonderful. She listened to me, made me feel heard, and is a wonderful person and healthcare worker. Here’s my story: I request a refill at my pharmacy, normal thing. I don’t hear anything for a few days, so I call the pharmacy. They’ve been trying to contact my doctor for over a week. They did get a response, and Dr denied the refill request. I’m then wondering: Why didn’t I hear anything from Dr Batra or the clinic? No patient portal messages, no calls/VMs, no emails. I call the clinic 3 different times over 5 day

Dr. Batra is a tremendous physician. She is very cognizant of a patient's needs and concerns as she was with mine. I've been searching for a doctor like her for years, which was quite a frustrating experience given there seems to be far more physicians who aren't as kind, caring and genuine as Dr. Batra is. Choosing her as your primary care physician will be one of the best choices you'll make, I promise you that.
