A fantastic specialist
I am unsure of the polarized reviews. Dr. Mattam has been 100% attentive and caring to my health issues during my years attending her. She is very specific on her needs from YOU as a patient. Her visits are to-the-point and you're not sitting in a waiting room for hours before the appointment. If you LISTEN to her and follow the instructions she prescribes for your specific issue then you will have no problems. Overall an amazing doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Mattam for anyone seeking help in the field of psychiatry!

Worst doctor. Money minded
Worst doctor that I have ever seen. She shouldn't be a doctor in first place. Very arrogant and self-centered. She is more concerned about herself than her patients. During the visit, I never got a feeling that she is there to help me. She doesn't listen to your issues or concerns. 'I am doing this just for money` is written all over her interaction and on her office walls (literally!!). She charges 35 bucks for ordering refills.

Good doctor for medicine refills
Let me give a little background to give you an idea of where I was coming from when visiting this doctor: been diagnosed with BPD for 3 years. After trying multiple kinds of medication, I finally found a good mix of ADD med and antidepressant, thanks to Other psychiatrists i saw beforehand So coming into seeing this doctor, i was already set with the meds i needed, i just needed someone to refill them. Shes great for that but I dont recommend her for people who are trying to figure out what they need. For people who are new to treatment and extremely sensitive, its never good to have a mental health doctor that stresses them out. I feel like if i saw her during my early sensitive years, she would have made my conditions worse based on her language, harshness, and difficulty working with My friend commited suicide recently and i have a possible chance of having PTSD. Since this is new, i will be trying to find a different doctor. I dont think she would be a right fit for me

This was the absolute worst doctor I have ever seen. Not only is she narcissistic and controlling, but she refused to refill my prescription cause I didn't bring my prescription bottle with me that she NEVER told me to do past my first appointment. She also made me get labs done after my first appointment but never once looked at them, which I had to pay for. She also overcharged me on my first appointment despite my insurance telling them what my copay is. She was very condescending and refused to talk to me until I wrote down on a piece of paper to remember to bring my medicine bottles. I actually started to cry during my second appointment due to how mean she was to me. She asked how I was feeling and if I was still stress and I explained why I still was and she said that she's not a therapist she's only there to give me my medicine and to be quiet basically. I would give negative stars if I could. She knew I am currently in a bad place and she did not care one bit.

I have been seeing Dr. Mattam for around 4 years at this point. My interactions have been great. When I started with her I was on some much stronger medication. We worked on a plan to move off of that because of the side effects. Moved to a much more manageable medication and have been following up for a couple years now. It’s a nice private setting and have been given the time needed to share what is happening with me and how things are improving (or not). She has always been straight forward and honest with me about changes I need to make. I would recommend Dr Mattam if you are serious about getting help with anxiety and/or depression.

I've been seeing Dr. Mattam for over 2 years now. She's fantastic at helping me manage my medications. If you want to talk about your problems, go see a therapist. If you want to treat your Mental Health issues with medication, She's your gal. She's consistently listened to my concerns regarding my medications, helped me find what works for my brain chemistry, and is always respectful of my needs.

She didn’t care to listen and kept repeating the same questions without taking any notes. Failed to understand and very impatient. Just jumped to conclusion. Didn’t even finished her session.

I came to Dr Mattam suffering from anxiety and depression. She was very courteous and professional in regards to my issues. She listened intently to my symptoms and recommended a regiment to help with my symptoms adjusting dosages throughout the years I have been seeing her. After about 3-4 years I am happy to say that I am coming off my meds after learning coping mechanisms and I am doing much better. Dr Mattam is professional and is able to quickly diagnose and treat mental health issues. She is also sure to check in and confirm if adjustments are needed in any area. I cannot recommend her and her practice enough!

Dr. Mattam has done wonders for my depression and anxiety in the 3 years I've seen her. She tells me exactly what I need to know, is thoughtful and careful about what drugs she has tried out with me, and is very straight to the point in addressing my problems. I greatly appreciate all the help she's given me over the years

Dr. Mattam was the only doctor to correctly diagnose me after just two visits. I had been misdiagnosed by several doctors over the years, which led to me being on a medication regimen that simply didn't work. I am so happy that I went to Dr. Mattam 4 years ago, because having her expertise in diagnosis and medication changed my life for the better. My visits to her office are always pleasant, and it's clear that Dr. Mattam genuinely cares about the well-being of her patients.

Dr Mattam has been absolutely great for the 4+ years I’ve been in her care. Her manner and consultation is both casual and professional. Previously I visited much larger firm/clinics and found that they never really knew me and it was all very much about the formal papers, signatures and record keeping. Dr Mattam knows me well and is well organized and keeps my details safely in her computer. Prescriptions are fast and efficient done all electronically. I recommend her.
