Worth the ride from Center City
I feel so happy to have found Dr. Lipoff. I have had several dermatologic problems that he handled in a very professional manner. I had a squamous cell cancer on my shin. This is a bad location but I had no difficulty with healing after he removed it. Next he cured my eczema. His office is efficient and very pleasant. In these days of detached health care providers, it is good to know that I was heard.

Friendly staff, fast visit
I went to Dr Lipoff’s office for a skin check. The staff at the desk were helpful (especially considering I was not prepared (bring a picture ID!) when I arrived). The next thing that stood out was that I only had to wait a few minutes before seeing the doctor. And finally, as we went through my exam, he noted what I thought the problem areas were, but reassured me all was well. He then took a few minutes to educate me on sunscreen use, and explain the difference between the SPFs.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Lipoff for a few years now. We appreciate him everyday, but these days we add special recommendations for him during COVID-19. We have been staying home, but I developed a scary looking growth on my leg. So, I needed an appointment ASAP. Dr Lipoff kindly helped me get on his schedule, and did everything possible to keep me safe, thoroughly and gently examine my leg, remove the growth and calm my nerves with his easy, personable demeanor. He is a true professional. My growth turned out to be benign, but I was relieved to receive his caring attention. My husband and I are both very grateful to him for all his constant hard work, dedication, commitment and caring to help us have a better quality of life.

Dr. Lipoff was snotty & impatient, both rude & disrespectful, with the manner of a teenager. He said, "I hope we didn't keep you waiting" instead of "I am sorry I kept you waiting 48 minutes". He irritably would not allow me to explain the reason for my visit, instead pouncing on the first thing he could latch onto & performing an elaborate & intricate immodest stage show for his resident (present without permission). He repeatedly failed to process information I gave him, which I was forced to repeat more than three times, & then entirely failed to accept or to comprehend the order & frequency of events I recounted, despite being reminded three times, and again despite the fact that the topic was emphatically NOT the reason for the visit, but was an opportunity for him to posture for his resident. He included this theoretical misinformation on my visit notes, which doubtless has now become chart lore, despite its temporal impossibility due to his failure to process the order of event

Several years ago I went for a dermatological checkup. Dr. Lipoff suggested I remove 2 small growths (not for aesthetic reasons). I compromised and had one removed, but then switched doctors. I have had 2 subsequent annual checkups and this new dermatologist, who is very conscientious, never once mentioned the other growth, and of course it has not been a problem. In fairness, Dr. Lipoff did not convey a sense of urgency on the removals.

Dr. Jules lipoff is an amazing, kind and caring physician. After many years of living with Lupus my symptoms and skin issues caused by this disease were uncontrolled and not properly managed. I suffered greatly....until I was referred to Dr. Lipoff. He cares about his patients and goes to great lengths to ensure his patients get proper treatment and care. He offered effective treatment options no one ever had before. For the first time my lupus is managed and controlled. I'm so grateful.

I went here once after I was called into the empty office I waited and waited. I notice him and his coworkers where busy laughing and joking a long while went by and still busy laughing and joking. He finally comes into see me this he breeze through he had to get back to laughing and joking. Now laughing and joking is okay with friends but not on the job. This was a playground of dermatologists.
