Dr. Juan Suarez, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Suarez for years. My Dad and his wife were first his patients. As I began meeting the Dr @ the hospital and during their appointments, I was impressed by the clear way he explained everything. When my Dad was in the hospital, he took the best care of him and was out in the waiting room explaining everything clearly and answering all questions. I signed up to be his patient as well and have been extremely happy with him. Yes you have to wait in waiting room but that is because he is explaining stuff to other patients and answering all their questions. When it comes your turn to see him, he will take his time to listen to and explain any and all ailments and questions. I highly recommend this Doctor, he is professional, knowledgeable and a great listener.

Dr. Suarez Lopez is a physician that I have known for a long time. I had my first appointment with him today and, he did what few other physicians do and that is to take his time and be complete and thorough. My initial choice was between him and another colleague but, the other colleague's office was closer. So I went in first. He then retired and I've seen several general internists over the last two or three years but went to him today for the first time. I am speaking purely as a patient and, being the physician also, it gives me a very unique perspective on him as a physician. Having said that, I sort of regret not going to him first. Between him and the other, both, who I find to be the best internists in Orlando, and I mean intellectually, knowledgeable, experts, dedicated, and amicable, I decided to entrust my health and welfare to him. Extremely rude office staff. Inconsiderate of the patient’s time. Sat for a half hour after my scheduled appointment time which I had to take off of work for. I asked what the delay was, was informed the doctor wasn’t even in the building yet and there was no telling when he was going to be there. Receptionist literally rolled her eyes when I said that was extremely unprofessional and had I not asked, would have just been sitting there none the wiser. Would not recommend.

Dear GOD this man loves to talk. But let me tell you, you want no other doctor on your side when. You're sick. He's the ONLY reason I felt safe at altamonte and Orlando south hospitals with Florida hospital. Nightmare of a place to be. This man doesn't play, for those who do not understand, that means you are HIS patient and he makes sure every one knows that. Office visits are friendly but disorganized. Still, Dr suarez is a diamond in the rough. 11/10 recommendation for the doctor. 6/10 staff.

Wait time is always long. Dr likes to have long unrelated conversations, mostly stories about himself. He has a good reputation but the staff seems to cater to favorites. I think I was over tested, diagnosed and treated for minor issues. Perhaps if you have significant heart issues and need hospitalization he is the guy.

This doctor was very friendly and was quick to discover a possible medical condition. However, the staff were not very approachable and I had a nonstandard diagnostic test performed. I had to call back and have them mail me my results. After the test, He did not tell me to schedule a follow up and I called to ask the doctor one concern about my results, yet he would not call back and instead wanted me to schedule a third appointment according to the secretary... They are not accommodating.

He cares about his patients and he sends you to the best specialist. He takes time to listen to you with your health issues and give me the medication that will heal you.
