Didn't bother to show up for tele-conference
Initially, I felt good about having this man as my doctor, but there were some last minute concerns I had just before surgery. I scheduled a tele-visit with him which was a month out as he was on vacation which made it necessary to cancel my surgery because until these questions were answered, it was a no-go. I got 3 or 4 texts from his overseeing office reminding me of the appointment to the point I nearly felt harassed. Then, the day before the visit, I got another message to fill out the pre-visit online form to make the appointment go smoother. I was reminded to sign in online at 3:10pm for 3:20pm appointment which I did. I waited until 4:02pm with the doctor NEVER having shown up for his own appointment. Apparently, he didn't get the same harassing reminders I did to show up to his own scheduled meeting. I talked with his staff, fire him and did an immediate records request and picked up what I needed the next day as I no longer trusted this doctor with my care.

Hip~knee & shoulder surgery
I highly recommend Dr. Burkhart ! He had done multiple surgeries on myself which include a right and left shoulder reversal replacement, left knee replacement, carpal tunnel on both right and left hands, several trigger finger releases and these are just a few have had other surgeries with Dr. Burkhart to many to list. But I highly recommend Dr. Burkhart he’s very knowledgeable & knows exactly what to do. He’s very friendly and explained the procedure’s in depth. He won’t do any surgeries unless it’s really needed. I have so many good things to share about Dr.Burkhart but not enough space here to write it all. His PA’s are very knowledgeable all and everyone including the staff are all very kind and knowledgeable also. If I could give Dr. Burkhart more than a 5 star I certainly would to so as he’s highly recommend.

I had a "total" knee replacement of my right leg. I recovered fully within 10 months of having it done. I recommend him highly for this operation. Also, I would advise physical therapy promptly within two weeks of surgery to avoid any tissue scarring.

Got shot almost 10 yrs ago in a workmans comp case. He works with insurance companies to screw patient out of benefits. He's paid $2000 a pop to do so! I've been in constant pain, bone was shattered, arm mobility restricted too. After 3 months they cut off benefits. I clearly couldn't work for months more. Finally got someone to hire me. Had more surgeries over the yrs. Haven't got better. Actually worse. Have applied for disability. May he pay for his greed/sins when he dies. If you read this Dr. Burkhardt, know that your greediness is noticed and posted for others to share.

I hired Dr Burkhardt for a shoulder replacement. Getting info from this surgeon is like pulling teeth. Only limited and misleading info provided. I proceeded with the surgery. The day after surgery, he poked his head in my hospital room, then snubbed me!!! No interaction at all about how the surgery went. He performed an unauthorized procedure on me without my knowledge or consent which made his job easier, but increased my pain and hindered my recovery. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

Dr. Burkhardt is a excellent doctor , he replaced my left knee 14 years ago, I’ll give him A-T , know problems, now that I’ve been having a lot of pain and problems with my right knee, it’s time I need to do something, I was putting it off as long as I could, called, for appointment, got in the next week, did surgery the following week, just 19 days after total knee replacement, now on a cane, I highly recommend Dr. Burkhardt,

As a result of bilateral knee replacement by Dr Burkhart I can barely get around because of the severe neuropathy I now have following the surgery. I had none prior to the surgery. I went to him for follow-up for 10 months. He never touched me at any appointment. All he did was perscribe more Percocet and therapy. He prescribed 53 sessions of therapy. I finally stopped going. At appointments I would usually have to wait an hour or more for him to come into the treatment room.

I saw him for my knee. He looked at the x-ray and said "you need a knee replacement" and that was it. He barely acknowledged me--never shook my hand. He may be a good surgeon but his personality turned me off. I'll see someone that will answer a couple of questions and at least shake my hand.

He did a rotator cuff surgery on me that was not successful. My impression is that he is an 'assembly-line' surgeon. What I mean by that is, he is most often successful. However, he demonstrated no willingness and therefore no capacity to diagnose anything that is not obvious. I think he is extraordinarily arrogant and pompous to the point that he is not able to take in new information. On two follow-up appointments after surgery, he never examined me. In fact, no one in his office touched me.

Dr Burkhart did a full right knee replacement Dec. 2014 for me. Jan. 2016 saw him because knee was still very swollen, and had pain. He did not touch my knee, or move it, finally said that what I was experiencing was about the best I could expect. Very poor care for a patient, very poor attitude. I was not upset with him, until he told me this. He had gotten his money from insurance, and did not want to hear that I was having any issues. I left his office and would never let him touch me again.
