Dr. Jose Sioco, MD

Dr. SIOCO listens to the patient who is my husband. He is knowledgeable and an experienced doctor. He does a thorough exam and review of the patient's history.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Sioco for a few years now. He’s great, always listens, makes time if something urgent arises, listens carefully, is a great doctor, and is always nice. I have nothing negative to say about him whatsoever.

He was very dismissive of my concerns, and even took out his phone while I was in the middle of explaining my symptoms.

He is always willing to listen to my health concerns and takes care of my needs to treat me.

Dr. Sioco spends the time required to determine issues affecting me. He is not rushed and is thorough in determining a course of action. Very professional and considerate of my needs. Highly recommend.

I moved to Northern Virginia roughly about a year and a half ago. Upon arriving in Alexandria, I searched for Primary physicians that could help me with my stomach and headache issues. I pretty much got no help from Dr. Sioco whatsoever. He only wanted to prescribe medicine instead of figuring out why I am having such symptoms. I had to tell him I wasn’t satisfied and my needs weren’t being met and his exact words were “what kind of tests should we do to figure it out?” Excuse me, but I am a patient who didn’t major in medicine. I asked him about a H. Pylori test to see if that could be the reason for my stomach issues after researching it on the internet myself. If he is the doctor and knew what I was experiencing then why wasn’t the H. Pylori offered in the first place. Why did I, the patient, have to ask him about it ? Strongly would not recommend this physician. If I could give 0 stars I would.

I did not think he had an understanding of my medical issues. I was looking for a new PCP since my previous one retired. I've been under the care of an Oncologist for over a year who is top notch. I am skeptical as to whether Dr Sioco even reviewed my Oncologists' notes. I do not like to give negative reviews but here it is. Maybe it is me but I did not feel the caring a doctor has for a patient.

It seems like Dr. Sioco is getting "review bombed" on several forums. He became my primary provider about two years ago, and I have nothing bad to say. His level of attention and his willingness and ability to communicate clearly have been outstanding, in my experience. His office sends my prescriptions directly to my pharmacy, so I can't even complain about his handwriting.

Dr Sioco is’s very friendly, efficient and dedicated. He spends as much time with me as I need, and never seems to rush me out of the office. He seems to personally care about my situation. I’m very pleased with him.

Dr. Sioco has been my primary care physician for two years now and I very pleased with his level of care and desire to listen and attend to my concerns. He always asks if there are any more questions he can answer for me before leaving the exam room. He is an exceptionally caring and kind individual. I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family.

Ive had Dr. Sioco as my primary for over 2 years now. Every time I have a health concern, I call the office and I recieve quick responses from his nurse and or an appointment that accommodates my schedual. I never have had any problems. I feel when meeting with Dr. Sioco, communication goes smoothly and my health concerns are addressed and proper action is taken to care for what ever problems I have and need to recieve treatment for. I'm never treated bad and I never feel rushed through an appt.
