Dr. Jose Manuel, MD

I am extremely disappointed with the way this office operates. My initial appointment was on January 22nd, and my follow-up was scheduled for March 7th. On the day of the appointment, I was informed that the doctor was sick and that I needed to reschedule. While I understand that unforeseen circumstances arise, the real issue was when I called to reschedule—the next available appointment was May 17th.That means from my first appointment to my follow-up, it would be nearly four and a half months—which is completely unacceptable. The lack of availability, poor scheduling practices, and failure to accommodate patients in a timely manner show a serious disregard for patient care. This experience has been frustrating and unprofessional, and I would not recommend this office to anyone seeking reliable medical attention.

Dr Manuel was my previous doctor and he took his time with me. I didn't feel rushed. He even called and explained The results of my bloodwork In detail. unfortunately, he doesn’t accept my new insurance insurance.

I switched to Dr. Manuel because I really value a doctor who seems to care and has the ability and attitude to listen. He is friendly, and I felt he treated me with a level of respect that I have not always experienced with other Physicians. He reviewed my medical records and was well-informed about my medical needs. When I needed to have a prescription renewed, his office was easy to access, and the Rx was written immediately.

First visit was short, just establishing health overall, getting all previous results from physician the prior year. Second visit wasn't so pleasant, rather unfriendly from doctor's talk & demeanor. When asking for antidepressant med, the only reply I had---I am a family doctor, you have to go to a phychiatrist to obtain this!!! Just because he isn't familiar with those meds, then it's all over---he ended up saying " We aren't a good fit. WOW, what a special & caring doctor, isn't it ?

Does not refer to internist-needed care readily for multi-needs 75 year old patient. Just examines & talks in generalities, almost as if he feels "she's just old anyway" so she doesn't really need health improvement. Very frustrating "Generalist" & probably in over his head!

I am very respectful of arriving at the doctor's office on time and filling out all the paperwork required, but when I wait for more than 40 minutes for an appointment, I feel that is very disrespectful to me. That tells me that they either have a major scheduling issue with staff or the doctor feels like he is more important than the rest of us. I'll find a new doctor. My time is important too!

He was so friendly and understanding today at my first appointment. Asked me questions and actually listened to what I had to say.
