Dr. John Gong, MD

Has no communication skills. My father was in the hospital for over a week. This doctor did not update us once. Our family was there regularly could never catch the doctor. Later found out this doctor holds office hours and it’s his regular behavior to make rounds at night. After my father was moved to ICU still no update! But his name was still on the board as his assigned doctor-collecting his salary. After 2 days in ICU at end of life we again asked to talk to the doctor. It was almost 10pm when he called. Started the conversation with “ I hear your family has some questions” I found him smug. We heard this is his normal behavior and is not good at letting family know what’s going on. Maybe this is why he prefers night visits. I can’t see how this helps patients. My father had a couple very caring nurses. This doctor makes their job harder. It would have been a different story if we were not present so much of the time. But he made no effort.

Dr Gong has helped me through a Rough time and is so very knowledgeable and compassionate! He is patient, kind and listens attentively! So appreciate this wonderful Dr

I've been going to Dr. Gong's office for about a year. I've seen him and his PA Nikki Blackburn. I'm extremely satisfied with this team. Prior to changing physicians to Dr. Gong's office, I had been seeing a physician for about 10 years. While she was a good physician, I don't feel like she went above and beyond. Nikki was able to get a medication approved with my insurance within a day of filling out the required paperwork. My old physician was never able to get this done. I am a patient for life! Thank you!!

I am 83 years young and have had 4-5 Primary care Doctors over the years. He came highly recommended by another Doctor. He was the most through one I've ever had since I was a kid. Excellent!

Dr. Gong is the Dr. everyone is looking for - but hard to find. He has been taking care of me the last 10 yrs. I have Pancreatic Disease, Bleeding Ulcers, Blood Clots in the lungs, Pneumonia & a collapsed lung. He has always been there for me - he sits w/you like you are the only person in the world. He answers your questions, explains everything and puts you right at ease. I am so glad that I found him when I got sick 10 yrs ago & am very happy I can now see him as my Primary Care.
