Wish I could say I met him, but his office staff specifically those on the phone were so rude I never scheduled an appointment. The office made it so difficult to even schedule an appt (having to send Dr to Dr referrals????- Ive never heard of such a thing..nor had my Dr in NY) Apparently in MA you can’t just schedule an appt with a Dr when In pain? Absolutely Ridiculous office. Glad I didn’t end up there. They went as far as to suggest that there are MANY other podiatrists in the area and that I should seek those out! Who says that??? I hope Dr Erskine is aware of his staff’s behavior.

I saw Dr. Erskine for a painful problem. He ordered an x-ray that day, saying that he'd call me that afternoon or next day. I never heard from him. I called his office a week later and was told he was on vacation. I left a message saying I wanted to hear about the results of the x-ray. No response. Then more than a month later a nurse called saying that he wanted me to come in to discuss treatment. By that time, I'd moved on to a more attentive doctor.

My intake conversation indicated concern with previous aggressive treatment, by another practitioner, on my diabetic neuropathic feet, including a recent toe-amputation. This concern was apparently ignored, based on use of scalpels, drawing blood, and which continued bleeding and showed signs of infection under the callous, until I sought help in another venue. I feel my warning about foot sensitivity was ignored, and no treatment was offered allowing for the potential serious consequence.
