Post Op care
Total lack of empathy and care for patient in excrutiating pain after prescribing insufficient and low dosage pain med for knee replacement surgery and refusing to provide refills. Rude and total lack of professionalism by not greeting and meeting patient for 1st post op appointment. Inexperienced and negligent assistant by not checking patient medication history before advising anti-inflammation medication when patient already on blood thinner.

I saw a couple knee docs and decided on Dr. Chan based on his demeanor, experience and ratings. Turns out he is the “doctor’s doctor.”I am now through surgery for minor arthritis, torn/shredded meniscus, and an ACL replacement. I’m just 59 and have spent a lifetime of playing tennis at the highest levels. He has managed my expectations and has been very caring and thorough. Surgery is over and I’m in the rehab process. If I ever need more orthopedic work done, he’s my doc. But I’d rather see him at Publix if I see him again!!

After many years of knee problems I was referred to Dr. Chan for an evaluation, and he performed an arthroscopic repair to one of my knees. I had a bone on bone situation, and rather than recommending replacement at that time he said I will know when it is time. A year later I realized he was correct and had both knees replaced a few months apart. The result was wonderful, for the first time in years my knees were pain free. He never gave me the impression he was anxious to operate, in fact I regret that I didn't have it done sooner. It has been five years since the second knee was done, and I have been amazed by the outcome. He and his staff provided a smooth, simple path through the procedures, and recovery time was minimal. I never felt unsteady as I had feared, and I could not be happier with the outcome.

Dr.Chan performed a knee replacement in May 2019. He was very thorough in the before, and after-care stages of my procedure. In all my ofc. visits I never have felt rushed,, and appreciate the attention, and consideration I was given. I have reccomended Dr. Chan many times in the last year, and unfortunately will be having a hip replacement in the next couple months, but am not anxious because I have the utmost confidence in Dr. Chan.

After waiting about an hour before meeing with Dr. Chan, upon his arrival he assessed my injury inconsistent with my imaging reports provided to him. He minimized my injury's severity but stressed that surgery was warranted. After the first of my many questions about surgery, other options, etc., he sought my commitment that he would perform the surgery. After continuing with my questions, within 5-minutes of meeting him, he was then rushed for time. I was just a # and surgerical opportunity!

Very disappointed. Do not buy into his Youtube videos. He is a nice guy but when a doctor comes in the room, does NOT introduce himself, and says "hello, hop up on the table" you better just forget it. He spent maybe 4-5 min. with me at most. Didn't want to listen to what I said and barely examined me less than 1 minute. Did not do any of the standard examination. I even brought pictures of the fall that happened almost 3 years ago and progression of the deformed knee, and MRI"s to discuss. A t
