Declined through the years
I first saw Dr. Burgoyne about 15 years ago and had an excellent experience. More recently, I saw him for a deviated septum, difficulty breathing, and apnea. He was not nearly as engaged and consultative as he was during past visits. He told me to use nasal spray for a couple of days and that if it worked, it would make sense to get surgery. I was to be the decision maker. I didn’t have any confidence in our clinical interaction or that he was vested in my well-being. I wish I had more positive things to say but he just seemed burned out and disinterested.

Had a fractured orbital, sinus and cheek bone. I specifically asked if he felt comfortable to do this type of surgery . He assured me that minus a scar line this would go smoothly and to expect to look the same as I did before the accident. At my last follow up post op I asked about some sag I still had (my face that is). Have since had and plastic surgeon look at it and he seemed very surprised that a plastic surgeon did such a bad job. My next surgery is in a month to fix Johns work.

Tries to be your friend, tells you what you wanna hear not what you need to hear. Pushes for surgery. Poor Surgeon. Don't let him work on your nose.

I left a bad review yesterday, but don't see it in your review list. Dr. Burgoyne had told me that all old people have runny noses. I researched the subject on the internet and found a possible solution. Dr. Martin Scurr, in the June 2009 issue of the Daily Mail.com recommends a prescription for Rinatec, Atropa Belladonna, saying it is very effective for the treatment of perennial rhinitis. I'm going to try it

Minor and James has many mixed-up as ear wax removal supposed to be part of routine service, especially I already paid an expensive co-pay. He performed 2 minute ear wax without much wax coming out and charged me more than $160 for it. You tell me, is that an overpriced 2 min procedure? If I knew, I would've asked my wife to scrape some ear wax out instead. For some reason, the cost doesn't match with what was performed. Maybe some other ENT clinics are more reasonable. Hope it helps.

I have been a patient of Dr. Burgoyne since 1997 (over 20 years). I know him very well and his greatest asset is he takes time to listen and treat each patient as a person. He is an excellent doctor, surgeon and friend. After years of suffering with swollen glands in my neck along with continuous infections and abscesses Dr.J. Burgoyne was able to put together a plan and a diagnosis and saved my life when many other doctors had given up and walked away. I am alive today only because of him.
