Best Doctor in Portland!
Several years ago, Dr. Barnes operated on my bunion & it was seamless. He is caring, has fabulous bedside manner & it doesn’t hurt that he could be a standup comedian. I can’t think of anyone who has made me feel more at ease. His staff reflects how good he is, by their friendliness and patience. You can see that they love working for him. If you need to see the best foot care ever, run, don’t walk to see him (that is, if your feet can carry you). I had a a wound on my foot only a few days ago and he reassured me and addressed my concerns. I had to write this review because I want Portland residents to know what a treasure they have. I rang his office just now with questions & within 5 minutes, the delightful Char(sp?) called me back with all of my questions answered! I pray he never leaves Portland!

Dr. Barnes....you told me that you'd be the "proverbial mouse that pulled the thorn from the lions paw! I could not be more pleased. Thanks for your professional service and I still owe you my side of the bet we had over the successful outcome of this surgery 10 years ago.

Dr. Barnes is the reason I walk without pain today. I had been to other physicians but was still walking very uncomfortably after 2 other surgeries. Dr. Barnes gave me the option for a joint replacement, and after finding out he had the most experience with this procedure, I had joint replacements in both feet. It was the best decision I've made. He is professional, compassionate, and clearly loves helping his patients regain their quality of life. Thank you Dr. Barnes.

My first positive review of a doctor. Unlike the other podiatrists I've taken my elderly mother do, Dr. Barnes was very friendly and really took the time to understand what type of treatment would work for her. She normally hates going to the doctor, but now asks me when I'll take her back to see Dr. Barnes! She's told all of her friends at her retirement home to see him. Thank you, Dr. Barnes!

I highly recommend Dr. Barnes as a podiatrist and professional. Unlike other doctors I've seen, he took the time to explain my condition in detail and outlined my treatment plan thoroughly. His office location is convenient and his staff courteous.
