Dr. Derek McCammon, DPM

Dr. McCammon is the best! I travel two hours to see him when I need a podiatrist. He is kind, he listens and he informs. He has the right balance between conservative and aggressive treatment and does not push for surgery. His office staff are polite and caring.

I saw Dr McCommon for the first time for my left middle toe issue.Dr. Was very helpful and felt very informed. He took all the time needed and didn’t feel rushed. He is a very good doctor with a good sense of humor.

I saw Dr McCammon recently for an ongoing and annoying foot issue. He took several x-rays, explained the findings clearly, and gave me a choice as to possible remedies, while adamantly discouraging surgery, in my situation. He is very engaging, as well as professional and knowledgeable in all aspects. I'm very glad I 'found' Dr McCammon, and you will be too!

I saw Dr McCammon for the first time for a foot issue . I felt comfortable with him and like how he was very thorough in showing me and explaining to me what my issue was and how it would need to be addressed. He explained In detail and told me the pros and cons of the procedure the process and the recovery process. He made me feel comfort and confident in what needed to be done. He is very personable and has a sense of humor and genuinely cares about your concerns . He has eased my concerns for my upcoming surgery.

Dr McCammon saw me for a cortisone injection. Hardly hurt during injection and it definitely lessened inflammation in my ankle. I would definitely leave the highest level recommendation for him. Whenever, I hear someone needs a Caring, Compassionate Podiatrist ,who actually cares about them I recommend Dr McCammon to them to see.

I’m a type 1 diabetic for 53 years now I’ve known Derek for 20 plus years and I honestly can’t say enough good things about him as a person and a physician. He always has time to explain the situation and what our best options might be for what ever we might be dealing with at that time. Great sense of humor, fantastic at walking you through what ever you may be dealing with and always open to hear your opinion. I have no issue at all in recommending Dr. McCammon as a specialist for your foot and ankle care. He is truly an all-star at his profession

Dr. Mccammon explains the conditions and what his approach to the remedy is and all of the side affects relating to the treatment plan that might arise. This was not my first experience with Dr. McCammon, the first time was to remove a broken pin in my foot and to correct some of the things my previous Podiatrist did not do. Dr. McCammon is very personable, he takes the time needed to hear what I have to say and then makes sure he understands what I meant and then give me some options. He has never recommend anything that was not necessary and usually preforms what is needed in just one visit... usually the first if possible. He has always spent the time necessary to listen and lets me know what each step of the process involves and when he knows I am okay with everything he does it in a very professional and expedient manner. Dr. McCammon is not the first Podiatrist that I have seen, in fact I have probably seen close to ten five in the Portland/Gresham area, perhaps more in different locations that I have lived. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. McCammon for anyone who is having foot problems, he is the best Podiatrist!

Dr. Mccammon was easy to talk to about my concerns,addressed each concern individually and carried an unrelated conversation with me about anything, meaning he is friendly, outgoing and personable. Cut through the chase as to what I would expect from my condition if treated now or treated at a different date or not treated at all. Clinic is very efficient and there is no time spent in the waiting room and the doctor comes in to see you right away. Dr. McCammon explains things in terms that are easily understood and explain exactly what he is doing during any procedures. Excellent physician.
