Dr. John Alton, MD

Dr. Alton has exceeded my expectations as my physician. He is down to earth and very professional. He explains any questions or concerns in full detail and reassures any nerves you may have. I had a cesarean section this past October and he and his team did a phenomenal job. I was able to recover in little to no time with absolutely no complications. Dr. Alton is truly the best no kidding. Thank you Dr. Alton for the phenomenal care!

My visits with Dr. Alton began when I was already in the peak of my pregnancy, about a year and a half ago. I have not, since I was a very young child met any doctor that has made me feel more comfortable, or been as dependable than he has. he also went out of his way by far when I was having an emotional breakdown during birth. I have birthed four children, & Dr. Alton by far has exceeded every expectation I have ever had of what a doctor should be. The way he explains, reassures and empathizes with such care, grace, and compassion is extraordinary.

Dr. Alton always made me feel comfortable during my appointments and answered any questions I had. I unexpectedly had to have a c section and was nervous about it, but he made me feel comfortable with the whole thing. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Dr. Alton is great! He took time to talk to me, make sure I understood everything about my surgery to lessen the anxiety. He's a very caring doctor with a great bedside manner along with his staff. Christi his nurse is awesome as well. Highly recommend!

The doctor was very knowledgeable and thorough in addressing my concerns. He is also friendly and easy to talk with.

Dr Alton is amazing , he always takes time with you and never makes you feel rushed. He build a relationship with asking about kids, family, work , etc . Very comfortably.

Dr. Alton listens to your concerns and answers all of your questions. He is thorough and explains so you understand the reasons and options. His bedside manner is second to none. He truly cares about his patients and is amazing at what he does. During one of my pregnancies he discovered I had a rare blood disorder. Please trust me when I tell you that he is AMAZING! I was blessed with a healthy full-term baby due the care he and his staff provided. “Thank you” will never seem like enough. If only more doctors were like him. I HIGHLY recommend him!

Dr. Alton has been my OB for the past 5 years. He has always had the best bedside manner and has always answered all of my questions very thoroughly! He has cared for me in my 3 pregnancies so far and am looking forward to future care. I cannot recommend him enough! Im so grateful to have found someone that makes me feel so comfortable!

I saw Dr. Alton for a robotic hysterectomy. He got me in right away for a consultation and took time to get to know me as well as discuss the procedure and recovery. He is very easy to talk to and an excellent surgeon. He is very skilled at making his patients feel at ease and know that they are being well cared for. I would definitely recommend him!

Dr Alton is by far one of the best physicians I've ever encountered. He is so caring, calm and down to earth. He has amazing bedside manner and truly wants the best for his patients. He makes you feel like you've known him for years and he's just all around an amazing Doctor! He makes sure all of your questions are answered and that you're confident in your care plan.

Dr. Alton was my women’s health doctor prior to needing OB care and he has been an asset to my health in both scenarios. His patients truly are his top priority and cares about you like you’re his only one. Despite his busy schedule, he takes his time during appointments to hear all concerns and ensure your mind is at ease - especially for a first time mom this was incredibly reassuring. He’s knowledgeable, kind, and always has your best interest at heart.

Dr. Alton was wonderful in helping to figure out the issue I was having and helping me navigate through the surgery that I ultimately had to have. He has been my doctor for over 20 years which included both of my pregnancies and deliveries. He has always been personable, kind and compassionate. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an ob/gyn.

Dr Alton and his team of nurses made me feel super comfortable and relaxed prior to surgery as well as in recovery. Overall he’s an excellent OBGYN and I recommend him to anyone who asks me whom my doctor is.

Dr Alton is incredibly approachable, knowledgeable, and extremely skilled. He spends the extra time answering questions to ensure new moms are prepared and feel comfortable. During delivery, our baby had a true knot with her cord wrapped 4 times and Dr Alton was calm and no doubt his years of experience allowed him to handle the situation without difficulty and help us delivery a healthy baby. I can’t recommend him enough!

Dr. Alton performed my bilateral salpingectomy on March 31st, he and all the staff went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and made sure all my needs were met. They answered every question I had in ways that I could understand, I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience!

I have seen Dr. Alton over the course of 10 years. Originally I saw him for heavy periods and he went over various options and I ended up getting an ablation. Problem solved with minimal discomfort in the office. Most recently, I was brought in for a thick uterine lining following an internal ultrasound. His office got me in ASAP and once again, he talked with me at my level and went over options. I decided to have a hysterectomy and everyone in his office, SWGH and Dr. Alton, himself, could not have been more accommodating, helpful and patient with me and my many questions. Dr. Alton is easy to talk to and called me himself to answer many of my questions. My healing has been easy so far (3 weeks out) and I felt as though he truly cares about me, his patient.

Dr. Alton did a great job explaining the procedure along with potential roadblocks. He checked in during recovery and after I arrived home. He’s always professional and has great bedside manner.
