Not for me
She seems knowledgeable enough, but she doesn’t like answering questions. She seemed put out when I dared to ask one about a procedure she was proposing. In addition, like most Drs at MSK, there is little respect for her patients as human beings. I was left to rot for 45 minutes in a swelteringly hot exam room. When she did swan in, there was no recognition of the fact that she was so late or that I might have other obligations today.

Dr Mones and her Fellow were great in my first telemedicine visit yesterday. They spent, in totally, over an hour with me. Because I am knowledgeable about many aspects of biology (I’m a Professor of Neuroscience), I had many questions as did they. Not rushed at all, and they set up a visit for today at MSKCC in Basking Ridge NJ to have more advanced blood tests and a possible treatment, as they determined from the records I sent them that I had a potentially serious condition that might need immediate treatment. I was very pleased with the whole thing.

She is direct and clear in her approach. Her focus is the blood and having been diagnosed with a blood disorder that is unexplainable, it is helpful to have someone as thorough as Dr. Mones. She tries to find the root cause and treat it but is aggressive to treat the symptoms when necessary. The other hematologists I saw were all very lax and not responsive. I prefer Dr. Mones' approach and highly recommend her.

Terrible. Avoid at all costs. Zero capacity to engage with a patient. Clinically you can also do much better. Like interacting with automated customer service programming. One star because the system doesn't allow for less though she didn't earn it. Not usually this negative. Yeesh....

Dr. Mones does not listen very well to her patients. She does not consider the entire person. Her recommendations are very clinical at best.
