I saw Dr. Chao for a consultation for top surgery. My experience with the consultation was great, and I've decided to go with him as my choice of surgeon. He was knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, and asked questions about my personal life and health history that made me feel like he wanted to get to know me as a patient. He was accommodating and asked exactly what my desired outcomes were (in terms of overall appearance, shape of scars, etc), rather than assuming. Wonderful!

Dr. Chao is cool, can't say the same for his administrative assistant Danielle. She obviously doesn't like people or want to work there. Please hire someone more pleasant and respectful. This is a plastic surgery office, people are very vulnerable and hopeful she's not the right fit for this population. I was misgendered several times, she never answers or returns calls and is judgmental about things that are not her concern.

As a transgender person, Dr. Chao made me feel very comfortable and confident. I loved my results and appreciate that he and his staff were able to work with my Medicaid policy for coverage, which I know has the potential to be a hassle. His administrator was a little frustrating though, I wished she would work with a little more kindness and patience.
